To put ads in glype 0.5 you have to insert the code in config.php of the theme you are using.

i can assure you that it's not. it's a rather crappy bit of html that is very poorly coded, and more often that not will break the layout and formatting of any new template i try and integrate it in to...

okay, so i've been running proxies for a while now and i've been considering offering a service to promote proxies other than my own. i've currently got an email list with 1,200 people on it (and growing steadily) plus a myspace that i push a daily bulletin out to that has 46,000 people on it...

i'm wondering what sort of rates i should be offering this for if i do decide to go ahead and offer the service... or should i just keep them all to myself ;)

Google Yahoo groups promotion or building a MySpace/mailing friend list yourself and promote then to them. Thats for free! As for paid, you can use the hundreds of services here at DP, offering newsletter submission.

How would I create a proxy newsletter?

Any scripts or such that you'd recommend?

Google Groups acts just like a newsletter. It also provides the subscribation box code, but it is not very customizeable as a real newsletter script would be. :)

if you have more than 1 proxies, you have to add php include code in the index.inc.php for each proxy template at the very top, calling a "oneofyourodmain.com/menu.php or some php file.

Then create php file and code in the menu bar and upload to your sameoneofyourdomain.com

that way if you edit the file to add on more proxies in oneofyourdoamin.com, it will get updated in ALL your proxies.

    no for many reasons:

    1. your ISP will not let you setup servers for connection
    2. even if they do NONE of ISP let you run proxy sites..against their AUP.
    3. your connection is slow for proxies or actual servers.
    4. it'll be hard for you to compile and get proxy script going. (I dont think it'll go this far any way)

i like google group better but it may depend on your preferences.
for me: i have adsense, and gmail so I figure google group will be faster access at once.. checked all without needing to go to another site you know.

    Hello,

I haven't read all the posts in that thread - as it is extremely long :) But I would like to ask how popular are Proxy lists sites (like proxy.org) in the "proxy community"? :)

i dont think any of them can beat proxy.org..
proxy.org has become well known and well used.

However there are few more topsites (just few) that are doing good due to their beginning popularities.
