The poster asked about a topsite, it is always good to rank well in google for topsites, not proxy sites.

 

We issue payments via US Check only at the moment. We are planning on releasing PayPal as a payment option in Q1 of 2008. An announcement will be made via a press release on our site when we finally do offer the expanded payment method.

Just join now, and don't send the payment until PayPal is available. That is what I'm gonna do if it is possible. Can't seem to find the payment options anywhere in the panel though...hmm...

 

What's the payout limit? Might sign up...

Just like me, my proxies are really doing bad and I don't understand why.

Do you guys do anything like posting on teenager or porn forums, where users might use your proxy?

Or do you do anything else but submit to proxy lists, directorys, yahoo groups?

 

I think it's hit or miss. Submit to directories, proxy topsites, use submission software such as website submitter or IBP 9. Participate in the stumble threads here on DP. Trade links with other proxy site owners

Any free time you have dedicate that to your sites, or pick your favorite one and promote that one. I done this with playboyproxy and it has worked out pretty well so far.


edit-In my opinion I'd stay away from porn forums. That's basically inviting illegal activity.

First link doesn't work.

2nd sites layout is horrid imo. Too red and hard on the eyes.

3rd one I'd use a gray background and change the ad colors, and you should be good to go. I'd also ad one or two adbrite banners down under the proxy address bar

Yes, adbrite and adsense are fine together. Remember, no adsense on the proxified pages.

Your tabs up top are broke in Firefox. And I'd ditch the borders around the ad units, and center the adbrite banner, maybe even add another one

I should note I am a noob with proxies and am only a little over a month into this niche.

I like to look at others' proxy sites to get template ideas. 97% or more proxy sites are using free templates. There are some great ones available for download

 

What do you mean with 'pick your favourite one and promote that one', how promote?

And I'll get looking into IBP, looks very good...

Why illigal?
Business men with a good reputation want to use a proxy to watch porn.
Like that.

 

1. Example being I promote Playboy Proxy alot, and not my others. However all my sites are linked on Playboy Proxy. I promote it, and the others receive a small amount of traffic.

2. You advertise on porn sites and you'll have dirty old men browsing child porn, and god knows what else.

 

Yeah, but will businessmen really be active members of these sort of forums? Just a thought.
