The Proxy Discussion Thread

I just checked my sites and my Canep spots are working ok. I am using them on proxified pages and on one sites main page.

 

Nope, nothing threatening to me except spam. Then again, my latest idea/project might get me into a heap of trouble. (The temptation to brag is so strong, but I must wait until the project is finished or someone else might beat me to about 1/4 of the "market")

 

need quick help from those using adbrite on the proxified pages. how did you get it to work?

If I recall correctly you need to change all the single quotations ' in the code to forward slash quotations \'

 

As noted on http://www.proxytoolbox.com/proxifiedpages.php , You need to replace single quotation marks (') with backslash quotation marks (\').

what category did you put your site into, Minium CPM, and what options in Canep?
Still no ads showing, just the redirect url that I put a blank html when there is no ads.

 

I have some of them set at "entrainment, Dating and Games. I have the redirect url set at http://canepmedia.com/default/banner.html.

 

slashes didn't work. I had to remove that portion. Now they show

Can I edit the bottom of adbrite ads where it says "your ad here"

 

Make sure they are backslashes (\) as apposed to slashes (/)

It could be bad... Nothing to do but wait and see... try signing up with a few alternate ad providers...

And make sure you disabled the inline ads option because I have heard they ban proxies with inline ads showing.

 

Well none of the ads appear to off yet..

 

Make sure that your site does not have a pending review status. If the site has not been individually approved yet than no impressions will be filled. If the site is approved try looking over your configuration of the ad spot and site, make sure there are no obvious errors in the configuration. If you are still having problems open a ticket in the Canep Media helpdesk and someone will assist you. You can also drop me a PM, and I could take a look.

 

At the moment, my proxy website is earning around $0.50 per day and my Adbrite ad zones don't seem to be performing despite quite a high amount of impressions. What's my problem?

So since proxies business are different, PR (pagerank) is also not that important unless you are selling links on them, correct?

I see that in the proxy market the concurence is very big but there is still place.

I started a free web proxy 2 days ago and done some advertising (bought some sponsored links, submitted to some groups) and guess what.

2,5k unique visits yesterday.

I wonder if I'm lucky or it's that good for everyone
