    anyone know how to setup more than 1 ssl cert on a vps ?
    I already got one and if I want to connect to https on my proxy site it will redirect me to the other site with the main ssl cert

    With phpproxy it is indeed index.php, thats the only file in the entire proxy. lol
    But glype for example I believe it would be browse.php

    just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the glype info. I have been debating on setting one up:)

    I'm assuming it won't affect adsense so I'm going to add it now.

    Most PHP proxies are indeed index.php but you can name it anything really as long as it has the php entension and have an htaccess rule directing it as the homepage. For CGI, it really doesn't matter what its called since its a a perl script. I name my CGI proxies index.php :)

    And no, it won't affect your adsense but might affect your SEO.

    Hey! I would like to run my own proxy, but here's what I'm worried about. If someone were to do something illegal while using my proxy, wouldn't I be held responsible since it is my proxy?? I just don't want to end up in jail for something stupid. Though, it looks like there are so many proxies, they would have to be legal. Please respond.

    I read a thread here someone had the FBI come to their house so yes you can get some heat on your ass from running them.
    Unless the guy is making that up.

    Yes, you can go to jail for things people do using your proxy. Its YOUR server that is perfoming the illegal actions on behalf of someone else.... Ever thought a peodophile might be using your proxy?

    Is this good enough for my first proxy?

    VPS Plan 256
    * 256MB RAM
    * 25GB Hard Drive
    * 10 Mbps = 3000GB Bandwidth
    * $29 /month
    Order Now: http://clients.wdservers.com/order/?form_id=6

    Or should I buy better one right away? My funds are limited..

    its not bad but the ram will kill you on loading. good bandwidth for the price but if you can upgrade the ram to at least 512 or 1 gig then you should be set you most likely won't even use more than 1,000 of that bandwidth.

    If cpanel counts 200GB then it's actually something near 1000GB but yeah with his 256MB RAM he won't be able to use that much bandwidth so I second your vote on getting 512Mb plan and set up a proxy network instead of a single proxy to make some profits ;)

    This what I'm using.
    But with the cpanel it comes to $40 a month. I thought it was a good idea to test the water. That means the proxies have to make more then $1.xx a day to pay for itself to stay in the green. which it was before the holidays came and screwed me over. Well I think most proxies are in the red right now anyways, lets hope the people get back school soon. ;)

    Shouldnt you go for shared hosting with proxies, so that it can allow the RAM to burst during peak times? Atleast thats what I heard - and I'd rather buy 1000 gigs of shared hosting from a reliable guy for $30 than a VPS with only 256 mb ram.

    Lol, you'll be kicked off very soon with most VPS or SHARED hosting. More ram is generally a one time fee with most dedicated boxes, so i suggest just getting a dedi box.

    alright did you guys notice a HUGE decrease of your adsense income on your proxy sites?

    I got 15 clicks yesterday on one proxy site and earned 0,18$ ..that was 0,9$ just a week ago.

    Any ideas ?
