I wouldnt mind getting some proxy sites started up... but i am useless with the coding of it all Any advice?
Surely, you can pay someone to submit their sites. I would be willing to do this on my medium traffic proxies.
You really don't need to have any scripting knowledge. Just download a script and a theme and upload it to your server. Then your all set! I recommend the glype proxy script. I'm making a glype templates site. So you can get a theme from there. As of this posting there is only one theme though. There are also more on the main glype site in the forums and themes section.
Forgot to say .. I need a text link in return. it can be from any (indexed) site though . pm me for details
After you get the proxy set up, you'll need ads. My guide (in sig) will teach you to put them in your proxified pages to earn a lot of extra cash.
It can, but saving the 4 dollars can be worth it if you are building proxy sites for the first time. Sometimes having lots of cheap sites can be better then pumping up half the amount. In my experience at least.

I dont think it matters....But for me, I dont like going to any sites that arent .com or .net or .org. I just feel like they are cheap and gonna go down on me the next time I wanna use them...and thats what usually happens
A .com would definitely be better than a .info, but since so many proxy owners are using .info's I think users might be starting to catch on. If you can afford it get a .com, but .info will also work.
Definately .com is better because of the legitimacy surrounding it. A .info domain reeks of cheap ad filled websites..
Problem with .info if you go to directory submissions. They might flick their nose and reject your submission on the basis of it being only a info. (I've had this happen before). Or if you apply your info site to a publisher network they might reject you becuase of it being .info. If your not strapped for funding, deffinalty get .com's .net or .orgs....
I would say spend the extra $4 getting the .com its worth it. I dont know why but my .info proxies always bring in much lesser revenue compared to my .com proxies in adsense though they are having the same amount of traffic each from the same sources like US, UK. Also if you do myspace promotion and type in yourproxy.info myspace will somehow filter out .info such that users can't see what's the extension of your proxy domain name. Feel free to check out WebProxyTalk.com or my sig for more proxy-related guides and tips It's a forum where lots of proxy webmasters gather and pool their knowledge.
The absolute quickest way of significantly increasing your proxy ad earnings is by taking the ads on the proxied webpages and replacing them with your own ads! That will just about double your Adsense earnings. See this Thread for the details.
If you get a .info make sure that there isn't another proxy on the .com of the same name of the domain you chose. A lot of the traffic would end up going there accidentally.
