Because no one (especially beginner) can not afford 15$ for each proxy. regards. EDIT: @bookm - Thats gr8! How many Proxies do you have?
Yes... All use same adzone for all proxies but i don't recomend as it reduced adbrite earnings for me. regards.
Ok I've got a proxy site running now as well.. my first proxy site (a german one) is a SSL cgi proxy for the german facebook clone "studivz": http://studivzgeblockt.de my second I bought from chessmastor "nesproxy.com" .. but I've redesigned the whole site http://nesproxy.com What do you think? Should I add SSL to nesproxy.com too ? Any input appreciated Thanks, mashup
First of all, Congratulations and Welcome to Proxy World! I would like to recomend you to not to use CGI proxy because it is resource Hungary and will use more RAM and Bandwidth I suggest you to go for Glype with SSL. It is way better than the Oldy CGI. regards.
Are you sure about that? I'm under the impression that they review your website before turning the network ads on. Glype is the best proxy script for sure.
No, Every Domain need different SSL Certificate otherwise it will give the same warning for other domains like in self signed certificate.
Moreover in IE6 (majority schools have IE6), if someone click on "NO" in any if the two warnings, no adverts will be shown in the proxy and you now that NO ADVERTS MEANS NO EARNINGS regards.
I think adbrite can be served on https Just have to put a S on the url in on the script. https://ads.adbrite.com http://www.adbriteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=472 SSL is not supported for banner ads so still kinda useless..
