You could use Google or Yahoo groups. They have a subscription form all made up and you just have to paste it into your proxy.
The OS does not affect speed. Reliability shouldn't really be a concern. But it would be good for small machines because it uses slightly less ram. thewird
I can't use Adsense or Adbrite because I don't recieve checks. Also Adversal doesn't accept me... =( On a site with an average of 100 uniques a day how much would I be earning with Adsense and Adbrite?
That is not neccessarily smartpricing. Check how many clicks you got. If you got 5 clicks for $1 with 100 uniques then you are doing very well.
How do you setup a adbrite zone for a proxified pages? Would the the adbrite Guys actually go into and use the proxy to see if you have the banner on the proxied page? Or say you putting on the homepage then put on the proxiefed pages without telling them.
I had bought a proxy and need help getting things going. I have it on Godaddy.com and need to set it up so the site will start getting traffic.
You need to get some proxy hosting (Godaddy doesn't allow proxies on their servers), then upload a proxy script on your host and you are ready to go with some advertising
bmoneypromotions, check this section for webhosting, depending on your budget see what suits your needs. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=98 Dollar ,this is allowed on proxified pages, just check they're sitedirectory , and you'll even see some publishers. You can always contact them offcourse.
I often experience a huge lag spike on my dedicated server. My sites take forever to access, I try to log onto putty, and it is so slow to load. I finally get in, do a VMstat, and nothing seems that to be over loaded? It pings very quickly tooo. What should I look for? What commands should I use to to see if its a Ram or CPU problem? Any ideas? I'm pretty new to linux, so any help would be nice.
Someone help me with my VPS. I am in the WHM cpanel and I am lost. How do I just set up the domains to the server...it says ns1.box.net Is that my Nameserver? Would highly appreciate if someone sends me in the right directions. So I can my Proxies up and running. there must be VPS newb tutorial somewhere for this, but I can't find any.
I started parking my proxies two weeks ago and am making 2X what I made with Adsense with the websites live and eating up bandwidth. With parking you get easier payment options, better CTR, and higher eCPM. Definitely something you all should consider.
Yeah, and when everyone who used your proxy stops using your domain because it no longer offers a service, then you are screwed. Then, you don't have any proof of income for flipping the domain.
Obviously that traffic would disappear quite fast. But how long? Tell us how long it lasts. EDIT: Two weeks!! Woah, how many UVs per day did you have when you started doing this? Who did you use to park?
