I just need to double check - Is Google OK with having ads on a Proxy site?

I know the ads cannot be on the proxyfied pages and I know that ideally the proxy site should have some other content.

Are there any other factors to take into consideration?

Select the "Auto Approve Network Ads" option in the ad zone. This way you will have more fill rate with mostly CPM ads.

There are more important things then just uniques per day. Revenue, Bandwidth, quality of traffic, ect.

    Search is your friend.
    First Read Adsense TOS.
Yes, you may have ads on the home page, but not on the proxied pages.

    Hi
I am starting up a proxy for first time and have some questions for the grandmasters here

1: I have webhosting account which allows unlimited websites to be hosted on that account. Is it wise to start proxy site on that same account along with other normal websites or shall i get a new hosting for proxy ? Just incase the proxy get banned, i don't want my other site to be affected

2: Do you get new webhosting for each new proxy you want to start?

3: Anyone has used Glype Proxy? Is it any good?

    Kind Regards
    Sdevil

    Hi sdevil,

I'm very much in the same position as yourself. I don't have any proxies myself but in tests on my development server I found glype to be the best out of phproxy, zelune and bblocked.

1- You should definently get a seperate host for your proxies, mainly a realistic plan that is tweaked for proxies, there are people offering unlimited proxy hosting here but they are probally overselling so do your research cause every hour of downtime is lost money today and you will lose your users.

2-it depends on the server, I rent a dedicated so I can have quite a few on one account but if you have shared they may restrict you to 1-2 proxies per account. It all depends on the specs of the server.

    3-yes its very good.

@Alonski-its usually 3-5 times a weeks earnings for proxies and that number can go up or down depending on your traffic quality. But really its whatever someone will pay for it.

@Omidse: It takes a bit for ads to start showing up with adbrite, make sure you have good keywords and you picked a popular category also could you post your adzones link?

Glype is excellent and its about the only decent free proxy script left that's still fully supported by the author with an active support forum.

If you use it dont be a lamer by taking the "powerd by glype proxy" link out. leave it in and show support, then when something goes wrong you might get help with it.

Its really easy to tell what script your using anyway so there really is no reason to take it out.

Does anyone have a huge list of sites that list a bunch of proxies such as proxy.org? (free please)

Where is a good place to get the newsletter subscriptions I see other proxies having?
