Yes, I had domains which were actively running proxies. Traffic averaged 500-1000 uniques from what i could gather. You do hosting correct?
@lhd333 From the way you described it, just grab a dedi server or a vps, forget about resellers, the guy from hostparlour who told you to get a reseller probably knows nuts about proxies. Most companies offering reseller accounts cap a usage of 3% cpu load and RAM per reseller account, your proxies would easily exceed that limit lol.
I would like to recommend using thewird for proxy hosts. Hes been in the business for a long time (2 years, if I remember correct) I've used him and he provided excellent service its just a matter of choosing the right server for all those proxys. Also everything that Jarmas said is pretty much true. Those people will tell you that they provide excellent service for proxies but once you use them and they see your using up all their ram and bandwidth they will cancel you.
Well, had a long talk with the hostparlor owner. He seemed to think a reseller with 200g bandwidth would be fine for now. Other than fast response time, I have no other way to confirm. Also, what is thewird's host info page?

No bro,i want Orkut enabled site now,as i have many prox sites ,but all those are based on Phproxy and nearly 60% of people evryday contact me for this Orkut problem as they dont get a good proxy site.. I need it now,and then i can have more visitors too.. Can anyone help me??

It's a VPS, you can run what you want on it. LXadmin has a 100 domain limit but cpanel is whatever you want. As for it it can run it or not, I can't tell you based on how many proxies it is. Paypal is the only payment method I accept. thewird
heh, well I suppose it depends how much traffic they have. You could probably run 4 or 5 low traffic sites with that much ram if you were using lxadmin and not cpanel

But your server will get hanged. CGI proxy put damn load on server. For Orkut via CGI you must have RAM between 1 GB - 2 GB.
Maybe this is a stupid question but I dont know the answer for it. Is there a limit in apache of maximum requests in the same time. Supposing I have 150 visitors online, and apache can handle only 150,so the 151th visitor will not be able to use my proxy site [php proxy]? I observed this statistics in my cpanel: CPU Usage: u748.06 s101.8 cu0 cs0 - 40.5% CPU load 42.2 requests/sec - 371.3 kB/second - 8.8 kB/request 150 requests currently being processed, 0 idle servers
