Just thought id give people abit of an insight on how I found my First year Running a proxy.

Well it was around the beginning of September last year I decided to try and find a market or niche I could run a site in that wouldn't take up to much of my time And thought that the proxy Niche would be perfect for that.
So I went about designing a proxy and then got it coded.

In the first few weeks I obviously added the site to alot of Proxy lists and paid for a Bold link at proxy.org and the traffic came flooding in, in this time adsense Earnings were low and I thought is it really worth it? but then after re-thinking my goals and being realistic about things i sort of got my motivation back.Over the the next few months the time I spent promoting the site was less and less but the traffic was steady and every now and then id check my Earning which were increasing month on month.

In the first year running the site I've made the following through adsense.

£95.93 ($155.71)

And my running costs have been

£51.4 (£83.3) and I could of found cheaper in my opinion

This is just to let people know that the Proxy Niche is not dead and if you open several sites which I now plan to do you could make a pretty decent profit from it.

What are proxy sites worth for sale roughly? I'm thinking about dumping mine to focus on other niches, just not too sure of their worth. awstats around 10,000 uniques a mth across 9 or 10 domains. (I only checked a few to get an average) Earnings aren't worth mentioning although at launch I did ok in the first 6 weeks and it's just kept going down from there to under 15 bucks last mth. All are .info's at namecheap.
If someone wanted the lot it would come with a proxy list and a yahoo group with 300+ subscribers. Using around 260+ gig bandwidth mthly.
Sites launched in March so are around 6 mths old.

 

On average, 5-6 times monthly earnings, maybe more if it is a premium dotcom domain.

Sure you can. The best option would be without the word proxy as you will get blocked by some filters, but it will still work for many.
