The proportion of on page and off page SEO activities

many believes that the proportion of on pages and off pages SEO activities are 25% - 75% ..

how about you guys? what do you think?

 

I think both factors are play major role to increase website visibility in Search Engine. get a good result for a website.

 

Ya...Both are the important factors to improve searchability and visibility of the site in the search engines.

 

I have never read about the exact proportion of both, but yes i can tell you that both are equally important.
if a page is well optimized for search engines (Onpage), then you just have to keep adding more value to it & sometimes you don't even need to promote it (offpage)
for newer websites (offpage) plays a vital role to bring the attention of Google on to it

 

Just curious .. Are you sure that there's site that doesn't need any off page SEO activities .. Doesn't it mean that it will loose it online authority?

 

In my opinion, on pages and off pages SEO activities are 33% - 67%, but it may be changed at unknown time.

 

i think both are very important for SEO. If you do on page only then you can't get backlinks which is get after off page work. and if you do only off page work then you have to wait more time for ranking. as per my opinion on page - off page activities are 45% - 55%. and most thing is that this activities are depend on your keywords if your keywords have less competition then you don't want to do more off page. and if your keywords have more competition then you must have to do off page work for getting backlinks.

 

I would bet both are important for SEO purposes, but I think that setting a percentage of importance-factor, if I could say so, is very hard to say, because it all depends on the sites nichè, what type of products, and of course what type of Pages the site contains.

 

Surely both are equally as important? You have to optimise your page in order to even be at the starting line in order to be ranked for your keywords. you then use off page optimisation to rank above other sites competing for the same keywords. Also Google loves fresh content so ongoing its important to update the pages on your site regularly.

Yes, both carries the same importance in the Search Engines

 

when your site gets popular it goes viral & in this case the things will go AUTOPILOT, i mean you just have to wait & watch.
what do you think about forums like DP? do you think admins or mods here or any other big forum care about promoting?
the answer is no! they don't need to promote it because its already sitting at top 100 sites in alexa &
i bet it must be getting 10000's of unique visitors through search engines.
