I have noticed that when I focus my attention on one keyword for my anchor text then the other keywords start dropping in serps. I believe Google sees the number of links and classifies a site as mainly about one keyword if it is more noticable while demoting the less noticable ones in it's serps. I believe this is why a diverse link anchore text is needed. That way it may force Google to see that your site is about ALL of those words. What are your thoughts?
Yeah, it is recomanded to build links on 5 keywords about your site. Example: health tips 1. health tips 2. general health tips 3. tourism health tips 4. nutrients health tips 5. children health tips Regards, Fluor
I believe you are right. I have the same experience. It is better to spread your focus on several keywords.
IMO that's what natural link building is all about. Otherwise it seems weird that you are receiving the same anchor text link all the time. Link diversity both in the anchor text and source of links is important.
There's no perfect solution... too many keywords and your main keywords will lose some weight, most probably....
Yes this is true and should not be a surprise. You need to be very careful when picking the phrase you wish to focus on. Ranking in the top 3 for multiple phrases is extremely tough.
That's why someone does always recommending you to vary anchor text and not focusing too much for a few keywords. The more natural links pattern = the more chance to rank most of keywords you built anchor texts for.
Thanks for this i usually focus my link building to one main keyword, i will try building links to a few more keywords for my sites and see how it goes.
