    Hi all DP member!

That is! I have a PR3 Blog, it is http://mulyrics.blogspot.com. Now I want to replace mulyrics.blogspot.com by an other private domain name. For ex, http://lyricsvideo.net.

So, I don't know whether I will be lost the PR3 mulyrics.blogspot.com? And if it will be lost, how can I get it again? ( do not advice me build so much more links).

    Thank you very much!

I'm pretty sure you lose it, but I'm not an expert. To get it back you will just have to do what you did before. Except it should go a lot faster of course, since you have active readers already.

    You will lost mulyrics.blogspot.com

to get it again, you need to link from mulyrics.blogspot.com to lyricsvideo.net and submit lyricsvideo.net to directories again.

you need to redo everything to promote lyricsvideo.net like you do for mulyrics.blogspot.com

at the same time, you need to maintain 2 urls until lyricsvideo.net get PR3

thats a decision most bloggers regret when they start out including me..

We always tend to realize later the imp of a private domain instead of subdomain..

    You will lose ur PR

Im afraid you cant do much except redo all what you did for your blogspot domain...i know its really annoying but cant help it

I am not much more familier about bloggers, redirection.
But if you are going to loose pr than it would be recommeded that you start a new blog.

You will loose the PR but you can start linking and a redirecting to build it back.

I like to use this blog instead of creating a new blog because the old blog has a big number of posts, about 2.500 posts. I regret the work! :D

I ran from PR 0 to PR 3 in a year

I think the success came from different IP visitors, and frequency visit much more than other factor like how deep they read or how much pages they open something like that.

Maybe I am wrong, but I think I am correct ^_^

the problem is that you cannot redirect blogspot blogs, hence you will lose it.

    run both.

If the 301 redirect done carefully keeping intact the same content and backlinks and you continue your SEO works, there should be no problem, it will take time but you may gain your PR back.

Your success may have come from those things, but your PageRank didn't, your PageRank came from your backlinks.

PR3 is NO big deal, keep the blog there and start the new site and start linking from the blog to new site (DON'T over do it). Sometimes you have to move on..

If you are able to do proper 301 redirect your PR will be passed to new domain. If you can`t redirect then just start a new blog and do not close old one - place a link to new address from old blog homepage.
