Have you noticed that most sales pages now have videos instead of the usual long lengthy boring to read sales pages we use to see before? Videos are a good way to capture the attention of your prospects. It has been proven that sales pages with videos turn to convert better than sales pages without videos. But i do think long pages still have their place. People who usually buy the product, most often read through all the page. when creating a sales page, you should take note that some people will just skimp through while others will actually read everything, no mater how long it is.
Most of the time i never read everything, so videos are more efective for people like me. Also i like when everything is nicely presented and the web site is guiding me where to look and presentes the more important details right away. But you have to consider what is your target group and design your website based on that knowledge.
Video marketing only effective in a country with wide space bandwidth so that video could stream almost instant, for a country with slow speed internet speed I don't think this kind advertising will make people aware on the video temptations
I have been trying this stuff, but can't get good success. Actually i can't get good traffic to my videos. Is there anything i am lacking ?
Personally, I don't watch video advertisements nor watch videos on sales letters: it annoys me a lot as I like to listen to the music while I work on my computer. Moreover, when two or three pages containing videos are loading, they freeze my browser and generally I close the browser and reopen it with blank pages. On the other hand, I'm European and don't need a 10 miles long sales letter: I just need the points that will show me the advantages of the product/program, what it will really learn me, how it really will help me, how I can use it - no need the why and how (or the entire life) the seller found his "new secret to..." or 10 years old screenshots showing the seller's good times account - whether Adsense, Clickbank or any other account. However, I enjoy how to videos and along with a transcription it's perfect. Well, that's my point of view... Dom.
Ya, in my opinion I think video does more effective than text. Lets look at YouTube, more and more people are visiting YouTube because there are a lot of free short video in all categories and it is easy and free to access.
Just please, please, please don't have your videos automatically start when the page is loaded. If I want to hear your annoying pitch I'll hit the play button. I would think a pleasant mix of FAQ's and video would be optimal. Kinda pleasing both worlds.
Videos are good in attracting customer but it should be minimal in your site and not auto-play videos because it slow down the browser in loading the pages of the site it should have the option to whether the visitor will play it or not... and also on the sales texts you should only put describing your product and other important information only...because not all people will bother to read the full text describing your product..He/she just only want the important information stating your product or services that can convince him...
Basically when it comes to sales pages, it is almost always the total presentation that creates conversions. You can have a sales page with no video or you could have a short sales page with a video or multiple videos. You could even have some combination of any number of variables. The key is to make certain your sales page no matter what elements of presentation it contains is loaded with good sales copy even if that copy is included in text, audio, or video. Some markets love video... while others may love to read a lengthy sales page... and some may prefer audio so they can just keep doing something else on their computer. Make certain you test and tweak your copy to match the desires of your specific market or niche. Dennis Grubbs
videos are good but also images are even better since many people with a slow connection will not wait 10 minutes to watch a 30 second video the connection I have now is really slow so I do not watch videos because it takes a long time to watch a 30 second video so images that can shrten a video or lengthy sales page are just as effective
This goes back to my point about knowing your niche market. If you are targeting a foreign country that has a dominant level of slow internet connections, then you obviously wouldn't want to put video on your site. However, if you are targeting major metropolitan areas in the USA, which would have a dominant number of high speed connections then video would be something worth putting on your page. But that is only the case if the market has a preference for video. You have to test elements on your sales page to see which converts best. Some leading marketers say that even with video being useful, you still can't beat good sales copy in the traditional form. Video is useful for posting to YouTube and similar sites via services like Tube Mogul or Traffic Geyser. This allows you to get the message out about your product or service... but as far as placement on a sales page you just can't beat good sales copy.
Not exactly video, but I've created some tutorials and training material recently with CamStudio. It is free software, and worked great. If you are trying to promote something on the PC, you can create a video of it (how to use your software for example). It works great for me, just thought I would pass along the tip.
Thanks for the ideas, I also think that Videos are more better than text, because it grabs the attention of user, easily convey the message...and results in good results.
