I wish it were just theplanet that were affected -- I'd be cheering and buying the beer for everyone. But I fear the posters are correct in that it is more widespread.

My ISP (nation-wide, one of the largest in Canada) is still up but the email servers have been out since Tuesday night.

I'm not sure what it is but the last couple of times something on this scale happened it was viral (Sept. 2003 -- Sobig I think) or hackers.

It is just the Planet Minstrel, if they were not hosting so many malware sites the network would not have as many problems, I hope the bastards get shut down by the FBI, screw em man

The mysql demon is most affected. I have the mysql error in some 4 forums i visit. and for the one i visit too.

 

Same as when the forums were attacked last time, ThePlanet was behind that and could be the same deal here

 

Every time i try to go to the thread G-Tech pointed to, i have a problem. I even registered. Ahhh forget it, my sites are back up so I will slip back into ignorance

Lol..my reference to turkey was actually about Mellas forum which has it in the title. I just realized you had posted about Turkey for a different reason at the beggining of the thread.
