Everybody fights for more links, but this is painstaking effort and there are only few that still do it as more and more companies move from Link Building to Affiliate Marketing Systems. If you offer some sort of product, service or even virtual goods, for a small revenue share webmasters will try to sell your products. In many cases the number of links you will get is huge, and if your links are not nofollow-ed you will receive great bonus to your organic search rankings. The idea for sharing profit is generally hard to accept as it involves some serious changes but is most definitely worth it. That's why I've build your own affiliate marketing system. The script I'm showing is the SEO part of the affiliate marketing script which allows all links to be counted as backlinks to the particular product instead of being discarded as linking to duplicate content pages (common to most popular shopping cart software). I've tested it and found it to be a great addition to your link building efforts as you outsource the link building to the affiliate marketers and gives you huge number of links in a matter of days. You can even promote your affiliate marketing system to webmasters and gain even more links. This is simply the perfect link bait Cheers, Venetsian.
That sounds like an interesting idea, thanks for sharing. I'm going to take a look at the link you poster.
Thank for posting. I have been looking for new ways to market my site and I think that linkbaiting is just the strategy that I need to implment in the plan
Yes, it has proven as the best way to get tons of links and in the same time increase your sales volume. You can see why the largest companies -- Amazon, Ebay, and etc. are the largest ... ha ha ha .. the day they started offering affiliate programs their sales skyrocketed. Cheers, Venetsian
thanks for the great post. I noticed on your blog you mention that you are interested in partnership, are you still interested in partnership? I am a project manager and looking to branch out 1 or 2 of my popular Joomla extensions to wordpress which will be equally popular. thanks
Yes, I am, but nowadays I don't have much free time. What's about? if you got skype add me I'm Venetsian there Cheers, Venetsian
Are there any affiliate marketers who already implemented this trick? I wondering if you can post some feedback. Thanks, Venetsian.
What about link quality? Surely you're going to pick up a lot of 'bad neighbours' via this approach? NOTE: That is intended as a genuine question, and not a statement of fact. Also, how do you get around the problem of requiring an affiliate id in the link? Surely Google is easily able to spot such links, and automatically counter such a tactic? I can immediately see the potential here. If your product appeals to serious webmasters, rather than a hoard of get-rich-quick affiliate sites, I can see it delivering the results you've had.
ok, the explanation: 1- link from a bad neighborhood is not that bad. A link to a bad neighborhood is very bad. Google does say that you will eventually get some links from those, but its not the end of the world since you don't really have control over who is linking to you. No problem here! 2- link quality is not good from those type of sites, but is still better than no links right? 3-all landing links for example :http://myweb.com/myprod.php?affid=asdasfd are automatically redirected with php with 301 to http://myweb.com/myprod.php and in the same time the affiliate hit is recorded prior to redirection. This will pass any pr value to the original link without the parameter as each parameter is counted as separate URL for Google and the rest. Hope that explains it, Venetsian.
well you can add it to any affiliate directory and have them advertise for you. Or even better advertise your network via PPC or PPA networks .. A small investment in direct advertising of your affiliate network does wonders I tell you!
Ah, excellent idea (and painfully obvious now it's been spelled out to me ) Thanks for your answers, and for sharing the idea.
