I was very sad to hear about this. http://www.dmoz.org/public/profile?editor=jimnoble https://www.digitalpoint.com/members/jimnoble.5175/ I interacted with him on a number of different forums. He will be missed and thoughts are with his family and friends.
Jim was a great man, he will be sorely missed by his family and also his fellow Editors. He passed away in his sleep and is now free of pain after a lengthy battle with cancer. RIP Mate.
Jim was a great guy and a brilliant editor. There was not a lot that he did not know about editing especially in regional and UK. I met Jim several times at UK re-unions and he was a quiet inspiration to all the UK editors who attended. He gave me great support and trust when I was working some of the new UK cats a few years ago and indeed I was reading some of his emails to me the other day whilst sorting out my vast back up on emails. Very sad, but pleased he is now at peace though greatly missed here.
I am too stupid to get this news. Jim was really noble. I liked his honesty. I wish best for his family.
Even thou I would give Jim huge pain in the neck, I have always respected the Man... P.I.R. Jim fastreplies
