I think this PR must be an attempt to come up with a solution for link exchamging and buying,

Sites I have not touched have gone from PR0 - PR4

While the 3 sites i concentrated on exchanging links, and spending quite a lot on buying quality stong links have not changed, when they were predicted to go alot higher, im real confused by this update but is defo something to think about when doing your SEO

 

this thread should have been deleted long time ago imo

This is a monster thread, i don't know where to even start reading it, but everyone is talking about G update, and I am trying to figure out when would that exact date be for the last one?

It would be a great waste of time reading this whole thread. I have not seen any useful information posted here. Further more chasing Google Updates is useless. Google updates site rankings and value all the time so you don't have to wait for a big update unless your worried they may disvalue some of your low quality backlinking methods.

I noticed some changes. Inner pages of my directory has got PR two now. But I notice this changes in my one web directory http://www.gwebdirectory.com only.

I have sites where i registered them the same day, that have started at the same time, at the same host, with the same ip, done the same submissions for both sites.

One is PR3, the other one is PR0 still. Well i guess that is life

Either that or a cock-up of monumental proportions.

 

If your backlinks are mostly made up of irrelevant links, reciprocal, directory, links page links unfortunately you are. If your backlinks are mostly made up of relevant quality sites with informational content you got a good linking structure. Even if they all have PR0s they are very valuable. Not to mention these links usually grow in value while recip/links page links keep going down in value.

 

Finally - Yes - Finally!!! I got PR 3 on one of my sites today. Three months old and PR3 - not bad I think.

To those who are wondering how I got it?

I have some strong PR BLs on few of my internal pages - yes that is absolute unique content and valuable content to some. Links are in my sig.

Something strange happened for one of my sites today- It was ranked # 4 for the term "iPhone News" but is now not even in google... I am not sure what happened.

 

I never get why people post in threads that they seem to have no interest in, only to make dumb comments like this.

 

I think they do it just to boost their post count .... well, that's the only reason I can come up with
If people do not have anything constructive to say they shouldn't say anything at all. IMHO

 

Yes I have heard several webmasters posting this very same thing where they had sites that had top #10 rankings in G for months and then in one day the site is no longer even indexed for their keywords.....not just that the site slipped a few hundred spots but is completely de-indexed from their previously high ranking keyword/s. And these are not just spammy or new sites as I have been seeing people with sites over 2+ years old saying this and all of it during this PR update....

 

You following the Google lawsuit on Apple for using the term iPhone? iPhone is something Google has since few years (a real product), what is the real name of apple phone? iPhone. I think Google is MAD
