This has been a very weird update and I hope it is not finished yet. One of my site has gone to PR 5 and at-least 20 of 3rd level pages have gone to PR 4 but none of 2nd level pages (Main Menu links) got any PR.

Phynder - pages that are supplemental on the snapshot date will not get any PR when the update rolls out. I am guessing that it is because it is in a separate index, and they just skip over it, but it definitely is the case that they won't get PR.

Does that site have a bunch of supplementals by any chance?

That is an interesting piece of information. Yes, the vast majority of the site had been in supplemental before the update, but now only about 5 pages are indexed.

I had never heard that pages in supplemental would not get PR. Even though many of them had PR before hand?

Yup, even though. It wiped out a whole subsection of my directory, not this update but last one. 53 pages went to PR0, I freaked. Managed to get it back this one, but still was a huge bummer.

I see otherwise. I've got pages in the Supplemental index with new PR.

Were they supplemental on the snapshot date though? And do you have an example?

Well if you ask me I think that somehow with this update coming in two different pushes either 1. This is just the first half of the PR push and the second half of the push has not started.....or 2. Google screwed up yet once again and they are not saying or admitting anything wrong as usual

Could you post an example? It would help to possibly instrument the circumstances surrounding all the different problems people are seeing. Thanks!

I think google changed the algorithm how they calculated PR. I have been watching 2 of my sites. both with about 800 links. One only has links from my DP signature, the other has directory links.

my blog with the DP links got a PR 2, the other site is still at 0

I think most directories lost the ability to pass PR.

anyone notice anything else like this?

Got your second PM also, and I think after looking again we both see that the pages are listed as a Supplemental Result. Is the Supplemental index up to date? Hard to say. If it isn't, these pages may drop out when it is updated.

From what I see, the pages were Supplemental around the time of the snap shot(s).

I've tracked the Supplementals from none to a peak of 514 and worked them down to 36, or about 4% of the total pages indexed.

one of my directory increase pr by 1 and from pr 0, my sub directories now have 3 - 1 pr. Also one om my blog site gained pr from pr4 to pr 5 but lost some backlinks . Still a good update for my site, :)
