    March 21, 2007 backlinks updated...
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=269238&page=3
The last 3 pages of that thread are interesting...

But I think I see something now, and I am having trouble figuring out what is happening in some of those d/c's as well.
    http://oy-oy.eu/google/links/?url=http://www.netmidwest.com/&#r
Below the fold... It shows some differences between d/c's. You can open those d/c's in a new window.

I thought I saw two unique sets of backlinks last night. Changing some of the variables brought up different stuff, as did hitting refresh... Now, I don't know what I am looking at. Right now I am so confused. I think that is what Google is really up to... confusing us. :D

Well, somehow the web directory in my signature shows PR0 (PR2 previously) somehow :(.

But this is impossible if i dont get banned. And i checked my indexed pages, nothing is wrong. I assume this is just a temporary issue related to pagerank update.

I just noticed one of my dormant domains that has nothing but a simple splash page, no content, no backlinks has a solid pr5 accross all datacentres. This was previously a pr0 domain Apart form this one site I have not noticed any other pr changes in any of my other domains

This PR thread is totally crazy, I wonder why people are so hype about PR ranking, although they do sell like hot cakes (or maybe not).

For me, I feel it's SERPs that matter more than PR. As for PR, it's more relevant if people are selling sites (or links).....

    What do you think?

    [SIZE=-1]PageRank Explained
PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important."
Important, high-quality sites receive a higher PageRank, which Google remembers each time it conducts a search. Of course, important pages mean nothing to you if they don't match your query. So, Google combines PageRank with sophisticated text-matching techniques to find pages that are both important and relevant to your search. Google goes far beyond the number of times a term appears on a page and examines all aspects of the page's content (and the content of the pages linking to it) to determine if it's a good match for your query.

Hmmm....Well I don't know if PR is already updating. But my biggest site that has a lot of backlinks with a PR4 and the directory has a PR3 are both a PR0 as of now. But all my other sites still have their PR. So I really wonder what is going on. And I am going by the Google tool bar with the PR bar.

I am sure the PR Updates is fake.. google was doing some hide and seek with the webmaster, saw couple of weeks ago, the change in DC and the PR still same.

Yeah, you probably don't know if your PR is updating cause you can't keep the damn lies you were telling us about it straight.

PR doesn't need content, and there is or was a backlink you just didn't know about. Only takes 1 to get PR.

    Thank you.

Yeah, me too. Something is definitely going on, but very intermittently.

Ok, you can get PR0 without getting banned, but your site is still interesting. It is the only one I see at the moment showing changes from one DC to the next:

So, something somewhere somehow is shifting in some way... just dunno what or why. :p

Done. You do know that you pointed it out in another post though, right? I'm not sure why you would care or what affect you think it would have pointing to that report. No different than pointing to an Alexa report, honestly. Just makes it harder for those reading to duplicate the image cuz they have to track down your sig first.

    Hi Michael,

No offense please. I see your point. You wanted to simplify other's job.

But i just dont want thousands of people sending Google several queries per day about my site :) Just a protection..
