    McCain a True Hero

“fights pork barrel spending. She stopped the Bridge to Nowhere. He took on the drug industry. She took on Big Oil

He battled Republicans and reformed Washington. She battled Republicans and reformed Alaska. They’ll make history. They’ll change Washington

Official press accounts state that Palin had “officially killed the Bridge project.”

“The only people ‘lying’ about spending are the Obama campaign,” McCain spokesman Brian Rogers said in a statement. “The only explanation for their hysterical attacks is that they’re afraid that when John McCain and Sarah Palin are in the White House, Barack Obama’s nearly $1 billion in earmark spending will stop dead in its tracks,”

Her claims make no sense on that issue. She campaigned for the money and then, only when it was a political joke, did she agree to kill that project but she KEPT the US taxpayer's money. That is absurd to claim as a positive about her - it was theft from the US treasury as far as I am concerned. Her repeatedly saying that she told congress "Thanks, but no thanks" is just a blatant lie. She never said anything of the sort to congress and kept all the pork. Curious how she will explain that one in interviews - although I know she is being well prepared for it.

I don't care if people don't like McCain or Obama, but the insulting names is so childish and stupid it makes the posters who do it looking like idiots. Calling him "songbrid" is offensive to me, and many others. If I hadn't given you a green rep the other day, I would red rep you just for that. Disgusting.

You have edited where you also called him that name - but I posted before you did that. I just added the quote of your current post, so that if you edit again, my post will still make sense.

i changed my mind . I decided not to interject anything into it as far as my own opinion because i realized that i do not know enough so i copy and pasted the title of the you tube video, actually i thought of you when i did that. you told me once that you do not have to agree with a piece of info to post it, you said just post it and do not make any comment and that is what i did.

I agree that posting news articles does not imply that you agree with them or everything in them. Posting obvious insults implying the man was a traitor to his own country is different - but I appreciate that you removed your additional comment. I still think you can post a link to that video without having to use the youtube posters offensive title. I watched part of the video which seems decent enough and I did not see anywhere in that video the name calling that whomever uploaded it decided to add.

Completely agree. I was watching a documentary that had several of the guys in it that he were locked up in the Hilton with. They said it wasn't a matter of not giving into the torture of the Vietnamese, it was just a matter of how long you could endure it. I think they all finally gave in. McCain gave in after 4 days of brutal torture that has left him partially crippled(if that's the right word, he doesn't have full movement of his arms) to this day.

There is no limit to the lows people will stoop to when it comes to politics.

This guy volunteered to serve his country to fight the spread of communism and has endured lifelong injuries because of it. Some of the injuries he could have avoided if he'd taken the easy route and accepted an early release that would have seen him set free in front of some that were captured before him.

To think some pussy(I don't mean anyone on this board, I mean whoever posted it to youtube) is going to sit in his cushy, air conditioned office with a broadband connection and post a youtube vid about a man that did more than his part to help secure the freedom of the world that he now enjoys, is indeed disgusting.

we are making the most important decision of our lives. this election can have far reaching consequences. I really want to ask the hard questions and i try to find out how they think.
i really do not want to concern myself with feelings. They should be that lucky that i am asking the questions.

i removed the word just this time.

Thank you for removing the word. I really appreciate it.

Asking questions is fine. Questioning how he intends to govern is fine. The video itself seems fine. People who insult instead of talking about issues really bother me. It takes the level of discourse so low that it degrades all of us.

Just like a child saying someone else did it so I can too. You embarrass yourself with each new post.

I am not telling you what to do, I am just telling you what I think of it.
