I bought this forum last month from a guy who needed cash for $30. I changed it from a global chat style too an advertising style.

So i am allowing spam. Well my forum is www.peoplepowerforum.com . Is this a good idea too allow spam. I mean it will bring me heaps of visitors. But im worried about not getting returning or active members. Like i will get 1 post wonder members.

spam is bad! no user will ever return! at least not quality ones.. they will only post their usual content... over and over again!... any decent user will ignore this kind of site! i can see that there are at most 40 post there!.. thats pretty low! u should place ads only after u get at least 20 users a day constantly!

I cant understand why you're happy about your forum full of spam?

    That will benefit no one!

Seriously even the spammers will dry up when they find there are no real members.

Allowing spam is a waste of your $30 and waste of your bandwidth.

Users won't be the ones visiting your site... spam bots will! 95% of spam comments are robots... so basically you won't get any traffic... and tons of vulgar spam posts... which may get you flagged as an "inappropriate" site by search engines...

I agree, I started a forum a while back and forgot about it and went back to find 1500 spam messages and no real members. Waste of time and money.

A little surprised you paid $30 for it. Nothing there but a free script and not even a logo. Wow, I should have sold mine to you. LOL
