People uses the Internet for only 2 purposes. 1. To Solve their Problems (ie. searching for how to articles) 2. To Have Fun Not too many people would visit a blog to have fun with it. So the only reason why a visitor decides to visit your blog is to solve their problems.. So when you craft a blog post, make sure you are solving a problem in one way or the other...
It is logically sound information about blogging but now one has to think beyond that. To incorporate more features and also making presence everywhere.
i agree..but there is third option bro.. to search infomation,, visitor not always solve their problem, maybe just surf at internet, just read n wasting time
Manu is correct. He just boiled down about a thousand dollars of paid advice into a sentence... "...the only reason why a visitor decides to visit your blog is to solve their problems.." I confess I am one of the world's worst to flower stuff up. However, my wife has cautioned me forever to use the KISS method. Heck, look at this page you're on. This is the dumbest design I ever saw. Green on green pastels with dark black font. There are NO flashy things. There are NO over sized bold RED fonts. What WERE they thinking? And what about the answers here? Two sentences. Jeez! But then guess what? DigitalPoint.com is one of the top ever forums for its purpose ever to arrive on the WWW! Simple, to the point, it funnels the user straight to the answer they seek. People DO NOT care for flashy things. They just want what they want and el zingo, they are gone. Your stats will confirm this. So what better way to market something, than to do it as simply as possible, with the ONLY two options for the reader....the X button or the BUY button. Good job Manu! Norm
Agree with Manu, in blogging you must be able to answer the people's question. They will come back if they are satisfied with your answer. The two reasons you mentioned is enough to keep a steady flow of visitors. We must not forget that our sites should be useful or fun enough for other people and if it answers yes to the fun and info then everybody is happy.
Blogging is an art and to be a successful blogger you need to research a lot. If you visit the most popular blog you can see that most of them are writing on a new and upcoming topic which you can't find in anywhere. So obviously people get attracted to that sites. Also the language they are used is very much easy to understand with images and infographics. I think these are some tricks that will help anyone to get most of the traffic towards them blog.
This is absolutely true. In fact, most people on the internet in general are looking for information. I believe the number is about 80% of search queries are research based. So if you're not offering any valuable information or, as you pointed out, making people laugh, then 80% of people aren't going to be interested in what you have to say. Have you ever noticed when you're looking up information online and you come across multiple articles, blogs and sites that are just regurgitating the same few points with nothing new to add? Just imagine if you could be the one blog or website that did offer new, interesting information. You would stand out and become relevant.
I used to visit blogs to find information and opinion for something, such as before I bought a laptop, etc.
