    I don't know if this is already ask here in DP but...
    Does anyone know what is the oldest website that is still up and active until now?

    According from a blog that I recently read the oldest registered domain is “Symbolics.com” This was registered on March 1985.

    Expiration Date: 2016-03-16
    Creation Date: 1985-03-15
    Last Update Date: 2006-12-20

    Is it really Symbolics.com is the oldest website?

    Can anyone agree on this?

    Am I going crazy or what? I remember seeing a domain in the 80s the other day. And it wasn't any of those I think.

    You guys are mixing up your terminology and history. The internet was around for years before anyone invented "web sites". The World Wide Web project wasn't started until 1989, and released in 1992.

    The first TCP/IP network was started up in January 1983, and DNS was deployed shortly thereafter (RFC 882 and 883).

    Remember: WWW != Internet

    I think that Symbolics was the 1st regd .com domain and not a full fledged site.
    and I think that they have not changed the design on the site since then. ;)

    If you had a link from Symbolics.com, I think your SERPs will rise significantly.

    Just checked all those domains out, few aren't around anymore, few have crummy 90's web design. HP, Xerox, and Northrop all looked good though.
