I have been finding articles (unique and many of the same submitted), directories, SBM, forum posts and press releases seem to be no longer effective. I am losing ground very fast with my website and the new way to go is single high PR site links to your site .My site is 18 months old and I am being overtaken with people with 30 backlinks!!! and a 3 month old site. This is for my main keyword. I wrote 15 x great articles last week sent to 3 articles sites, all unique and to "do follow" sites and I have dropped 8 places. These techniques are a waste of time if you want to hit page 1. Shame it no longer works, I spent hours and hours writing new and unique, quality articles (maybe around 200 x 400 word articles) for article sites and feel like a complete fool, addicted to article writing and then google with it's godly powers swipe my work down the drain, thanks google, well guess what I am shifting to BING. If you want to get on page 1 you need more than trashy articles sites now. I am very disillusioned about SEO right now and am re thinking my strategy and aiming for single high PR links from relavent sites cause I am dropping like a stone. I think that the reason is like this.... this was PR6 recently........ Go Articles now PR4 !!!!!!!!! so any link coming from here is a LOT weaker for SEO. : ( Same for all these type of sites. SEO used to be a fun way to add value to your business now it is like having a second job for someone running a small company.
Too quick Spammaker, I corrected that whilst you were writing your pointless post. People like you spot a spelling mistake and then think you are some kind of genius. Why not engage the brain and understand. 1) It's true 2) Suggest something of value Instead of writing garbage so you get an inefectual link on this site? Do you outsource your own brain as well?
diversify your link building campaign, thats all i can say. i know what you mean cause i myself am a big fan of article marketing as it used to work like charm in the past. since google panda update, lot of article sites got hit and so called best article directory ezinearticles lost more than half of its traffic so go figure. panda 2.2 is on the way and ehow will no longer dominate with its how to articles on just about anything anymore. things are changing and if you are fan of article marketing, i would say drop the good article directories and compile a list of smaller and off google radar directories, then publish on them. keep publishing cause you will need more backlinks now than ever before. unless you have a handful of very strong links
