The mortgage giants spread their cash evenly: Democrats got 51% and Republicans 49%. Top lawmakers got top dollar.

In the House, Minority Whip Roy Blunt, R-Mo., led among the leadership with $78,500 in donations from Fannie and Freddie. He was followed by Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, $60,500; Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., $51,500; Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., $47,000; and Majority Whip James Clyburn, D-S.C., $26,000.

LOL, well, I wasn't a lawyer, but I did play one on TV. OK, I suspect they would have ruled differently, and, if keeping the same logic in place, I am certain they would have to have ruled differently, as they relied on statutory law and nothing else.

Ranges are not the same thing as actual salary, as we know. In my former field (one of them, corporate paralegal), the range was huge, actually. And performance reviews say nothing about relationship of performance to actual pay - i.e., do well, you get a bump - but it isn't revealed that I do ___ well, get ___ bump, and my co-worker did ___ well, and got ___ bump. Which was my point. This stuff isn't transparently, formally known - and that is a loophole that can be used to avoid equal pay.

Tough call, and one of the damn nuisances of law - none of it can be optimal, since all of it is a created reality, designed to balance "justices" in an imperfect world. Between 30 years and 6 months is a long window, agreed?

With a window of 6 months, for reasons I've said, no, not in my opinion. For instance, to take even your example: annual reviews, with reviews themselves a means to know comparative pay; presuming they provide a means (I don't agree), if annual, how would a 6 month window be long enough?

I'd disagree, obviously, for reasons shown.

I will grant you that six months is not enough time.

I've never met a man that is wrong on so many issues. Nice knowing you NorthPoint. :p

Barack Obama is responsible for the the problems on wall street more so than McCain. Obama hands are covered in mud. I wonder if Obama will get another free pass.

Funding does not equate to anyone doing anything or not doing anything.

Where is the action that caused it? Until then all you're doing is spreading BS to be totally honest.

Where is Obama's action that caused the mess?

You seriously believe in the short time he was in the Senate he did something to cause this?

Obama is in deep. Obama has sold out to wallstreet from the beginning. He has lined his pockets from all the latest banking failures.

Franklin Raines worked at Fannie Mae for years, rising to vice-chairman until Bill Clinton tapped him to head up the Office of Management and Budget. Raines returned to head Fannie Mae in 1999, staying until he "retired" in 2004 amid allegations of accounting irregularities and the revelation that he had received a sweetheart mortgage deal from Countrywide.

Jim Johnson preceded Raines at Fannie Mae, where he had run the company as chairman from 1991 to 1998. Johnson served on Barack Obama's vice-presidential search committee until it was revealed that he, too, had gotten sweetheart loans from Countrywide.

So guilt by association, but nothing to show he himself did anything to cause it.

Don't forget that she gained her foreign policy experience by being close to Russia.
This seems to be the general way of thinking for some people.
    ====================================================================

Warren Buffett, the world's richest man, is backing Barak Obama for US president and thinks current US economic policy will push the dollar lower against other global currencies.

Buffett told a press conference here Monday he had offered support to both Obama and Democratic rival Hillary Clinton but that since it appeared Obama would win the party's nomination, "I will be very happy if he is elected president.

Franky took home $50 million bucks from Fannie just before the collapse. Jimmy sucked them dry for millions as well... But hell, come on, lets give Jim credit for finding a VP for Obamanation.

The number two, highest paid and supported politician by fannie and freddie, Barrack..

Guess who number one was? Hint, his wife makes Ketchup.. Another hint, he ran for President last time around.

McCain received about $1k per year over 20 years from Fannie/Freddie combined.

Obama received over $126,000.00 in under 3 years. Who's in who's pockets?

Sounds like Change and Hope to me alright. What I cannot figure out is why all the Ron Paul groupies are falling for this big eared buffoon.
