I don't know why anyone would want approval from anyone else, besides the people they know and love, to be honest.

It's simply a fact: I don't find you credible. I find your mindset dangerous for America. For your self-righteous pronouncements on who is "truly American," and who is a "disgrace and a traitor" to the same land we all inhabit (the land many of us serve, or have served, in and out of uniform), I utterly disrespect you, and others like you.

The Republicans are running a campaign of fear and intimidation.
Basically if you vote for Obama, you vote for terrorist.

The underlying racism is astounding, something we haven't seen since McCartyism.

That's what the democrats were saying about Obama when he was running against Clinton.

How is that racism? Why are you wanting to play the race card?

English, please? What are you trying to say?

How about only the latest example?

    Woman: I don't trust Obama.

McCain: [Nod, nod, yep]: "I know what you mean."

Woman: He's uh, he's an Arab.

McCain rightfully shot this down, because I think his endemic threshold for the crap being puked in his name had finally been reached. That said, where the fuck was he, over the last several weeks, while his bile-spewing running mate has unleashed the dogs of hate?

    Here's a good take:

Yes. I do think the ticket is not so stupid as to resort to overt displays of reconstruction-era racism. But dishonorable enough to play on the worst instincts of its deluded electorate. For John McCain to keep the honor he regained the other day, he needs to vigorously denounce the tack taken by his running mate - an individual with a mind long ago sealed shut to any further input, coupled with the zealot's convictions, a horribly dangerous combination.

Because Republicans have been on this Obama, Muslim, terrorist thing since the primaries. It's getting sickening.
Do you really think they would have done this to Gore, Clinton, Kerry, or any other Democratic candidate? No!
They are taking his name, and associating it with terrorist. Plain and Simple.

Do you think Barack Obama, A U.S. Senator is a Terrorist ? Do you ?
It is , (as I have said before) just like Joe McCarthy calling his political opponents communist, back in the 50's. That was the one thing that scared the crap out of everyone back then, and the Republicans are doing the exact same thing again today. Trying to actually scare people into voting for them.

I am no idiot, I see the carefully edited commercials, how they take the parts that they think will scare "white " voters and put some scary rhetoric with the images. Photos of masked Terrorists, the pastor shouting "Damn America"...and a bunch of things that Obama never did, said, or was a part of , but they are taking the obvious rhyming of "Obama" and "Osama" scare the crap out of people and defame him.

    Nice conservative christian values.

There was no way that all those people that McCarthy ruined were actually Communist, and he knew that, but he also knew that it would scare every one, just as if someone said you were a sex offender. It doesn't have to be true, people will still never get the possibility out of their head, and that is what they rely on.

It's called sensationalism, and misdirection. They are very good at it, but they are also too stupid to realize that they are really pissing people off because they are looking for answers, not a pre-teen girls gossip circle.

It's an apt comparison. Joe McCarthy was the Un-American. He ruined honorable lives (among them, a beloved teacher and mentor). Palin, the "Good Christian" spewing hate, is in that same line. John McCain blew it by choosing her, for so many reasons, but he has the opportunity to do the honorable thing now, and forbid such crap from this point forward.

Are you even an Adult, or am I having this conversation with a teen aged kid ?

It doesn't matter how much you get slapped in the face with how ridiculous it all sounds, you still revert back to things that were already proven false, and you choose to look at everything negative that you can find, and guess at things that you can't, but heard somewhere, instead of concentrating on what you do know, and is in front of your face.

You are seriously reaching. When it is all said and done, I want you to look back at some of your posts, and see how ridiculous you sound.
I am sure Mccain will have a few regrets of his own.

Judging by your logic, if we should judge Obama by who he has met over the years or who you say he is associated with, then why can we not judge McCain by associates that we KNOW he has, and is very close to:

    Liddy, Bush, Cheney, and Keating.

l...and what do you mean by the way he was raised ? I know you are not going back 4 months with that rumor that he went to a Muslim school are you ? You have to be a little more up to date on your propaganda.

What if he did go to a Muslim school till he was 8. It wasn't a terrorist school. There are more Muslims in the world than Christians, and believe it or not, they didn't all blow up the WTC.

If he had any serious nefarious ties I think he'd be taken out by one of the intelligence or national security related agencies. I'm not sure how, though. Plane crash? Child porn on computer? Or maybe just an open disclosure of the ties. Either way, he wouldn't make it to the highest office.

I am pretty sure his intentions are not the same as Bush and Cheney. I never trusted them,a nd never believed anything that was coming out of their mouth.
I can't believe how you still praise the republican party after the way they have screwed you and this country over.
You would make a good battered woman.

F*ck No ! I barely could stomach his dad, but at least he was a little more honorable than Jr.
George W Bush is a crook, a liar and a thief.
He completely used the office of the Presidency for his and Cheney's own personal gain, pissed on the Constitution, and lied in the face of every leader around the world that actually trusted us.
He ruined our economy, and our reputation, and when he is home in Crawford counting his chips, we will still have Sons and Daughters dodging grenades in Iraq and Afghanistan mopping up his misguided travesty of 9/11 retribution.

They both leave with fat portfolios..good riddance, I hope they choke on all the money they made while we struggle to bail the country out.
