How is it a nightmare for me? The inflation that is coming with the Obama economic plan and the reduction of the price of real estate, I will fair better seeing that it is a buyers market. His plan will reward those that have liquid assets and real collateral. You gotta remember that the carter years as bad as they were on the middle and lower class yielded high returns for the upper class. I have been preparing for this down turn since Katrina and have reduced my spending to almost zero and have sold all my real estate that was not yielding a profit.

After thoroughly reviewing the debate, Obama's economic plan which will hurt the US economy, should reward me quite well.

You, Grim and Obama's economic slow down plan has convinced me where to cast my vote.

Obama communicated constantly with Speaker of the House Palosi and many Senators and Congressman concerning the bailout continuously. Unlike McCain, Obama can use his cell phone, blackberry, email, and video conferencing so that he can handle multiple duties, like a President is supposed to.

Even Congressmen said on face the nation that McCain's riding in on a white horse to save the day was seen as political show boating and did nothing to help the cause, if anything he got in the way.

Debates have gone on during the Great Depression, WWII, The Civil War, and every other crisis in America. 90 minutes of time at 6p.m. on a Friday night, to discuss the issues will not interfere with anyone's responsibilities like McCain supporters keep grasping onto.

The big change electorally is that McCain is running out of "leaners." He has moved to a (-)65 deficit, according to Real Clear Politics, but with the "no toss ups" forced, he is now decisively down as well whereas formerly, these were just a few points away from each other (an 8-point spread for several weeks). Now, with "no toss ups," it is Obama 301, McCain 237 (+64 Obama).

Every post shows you to be terrified of an Obama presidency, on the face of it, as your question:

Ably shows. I am sure Mia and others will leap to this, saying I'm now "race-baiting," but from my vantage point, and seeing the plethora of posts in the same vein, you are aware that Hmansfield is a black member of the community, and you make an issue of his use of the term, "white horse," as a kind of referendum on race. Swell. Now, maybe you missed all this while searching Wiki for reasons to praise Jesse Helms, Biz, but a bit of history of the notion of a white horse, and mounted knight, is that since childhood, this has been the common fable of the "hero to save the day," which is ecactly what McCain had hoped he would be perceived as being, though the stunt failed, abysmally.

Nope, you'd rather Obama be a janitor, as you once said on this forum, and the train has left the station on your worldview.

He would make a fine janitor. He could really help the people. I like Obama, I would like him better if he had different foreign and domestic policies.

Well, Well, Well, What problem is that? I love your pro Obama stance.

More fantasy and lies from you I see.

Just because I call crap on McCain does not equate to me being Pro Obama.

Hell even with all the trash you talk about Obama, you talk better about Obama than I do.

I never said 'I like the way he talks' in fact I rarely even talk about Obama.

McCain did not 'hurt my feelings' he flat out sold out, flip flopped and made himself into a joke to many people who supported him before this election cycle. I am not the only X supporter of his that feels this way.

He also lies non stop, that's all his campaign ads are about. One thing I can not stand is lies, lies that go beyond simple political twists.

Update: Rasmussen Reports conducted a post-debate poll of "trust" of the two candidates across a host of issues; in each of these issues, Obama comes out on top, and note this includes several items commonly thought to be McCain's bailiwick - to include the war in Iraq, taxes, the federal budget, trade, even abortion:

    http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/obama_gets_post_debate_boost_in_voter_trust_on_all_issues

They're close, and I'm sure the numbers are volatile, but there's just no good news coming out for John McCain these days. Real Clear has him down by a full 86 electoral college votes, so Obama has regained virtually all of the points lost to McCain over the summer slump. Obama's resurgence is truly dramatic:

One of the coolest things I've seen is watching Amish loggers with their Belgian teams at work, in S.W. Wisconsin.

Glad we've produced more of substance in 3 than the entirety of Sarah Palin's 3 interviews. :D
