Google has been saying for sometime now that no follow tags do not pass pagerank or link juice. I understand what Google is claiming however I must say that this does not say they will not index the links and give them value. The links are listed as valid links in webmaster tools and after seeing some tests it does appear that they do carry some value. By sticking to the claim Google is definately cutting down on blog and forum spam so if they were to let the cat out of the bag so to speak the internet would begin to have more of this type of spam again and I do understand the logic. However I cannot say that I have ever heard Google claim that these types of links do not have some value.. What are your thoughts?
This is true about external links, It does keep your link juice. I am just saying that i have run some test and it seems that no follow links still give your site value. They are not worthelss in my book.
Nofollow only mean that the backlink not provide you PR juice but it still can provide targeted traffic And the visitor might like your site and provide you natural backlink In this case, nofollow are indirectly helps on link building Go ahead although the backlink site is nofollow if it is quality site
Very good point and for that reason alone it is beneficial to get a good no follow link. I am also saying that I have noticed through testing that certain nofollow links seem to be carrying some juice which is an added bonus to what you just stated.
Nofollow links doesn't carry any juice. Let's just be clear about that. Ref: Direct from Matt Cutts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g37bwBlifnk In simple words, Nofollow links doesn't benefit us in SEO wise. But, nofollow links does benefit us in terms of traffic.
And this is beacuse why? Matt Cutts said so??? Do you actually believe everything a Google rep tells you? I have seen through testing that this statement is not true. Don't believe me go ahead and comment on some high pr no follow blogs or get some other no follow links and wait a week or two and check your rankings. Then come back to this thread and post your findings.
