What is the best deed you ever made?:) Tell us the story ...
I haven't done anything heroic until now, just trying to help, being nice and civilized with people, taking care of some animals, things like that:)

Last year, on valentine's day, I saved my neighbor's life. I live on a dead end street. An elderly woman lives in the last house and past her house, we have a garage where we keep our quad and snow plow. Because of the snow storm, I went back there at about 9pm to get ready to plow in the morning. When i was walking back there, the lady was sitting in her car with it running. After 15 min, I was done and started walking back and she was still sitting there. She asked me to help her carry her groceries to her house and then to help her down the stairs.
(we live on a cliff and there at 3 flights of stairs to get to her house)

She made it down the first flight and said she couldn't go any further and couldn't breathe. It was snowing heavily and was very cold. I called the ambulance and asked what I should do until they arrived. I asked if i should stay there with her, but the operator said "it doesn't matter!" I ran and got her a blanket and stayed with her for 20 minutes hugging her to keep her warm until the ambulance came.

As it turns out she had three major blockages (95% blocked) in her heart and was experiencing congestive heart failure and several minor heart attacks. They life-flighted her to a hospital in Philadelphia and performed an emergency triple bypass. They said that a few minutes longer and she would have died. Thank GOD it was snowing or I would not have been there to help her.

Ok, enough of jokes. I try and do a bit of charity work now and then. I have also saved my nan's life a few years back. But yet again that was not a gesture. That's just something any human had to do. Gesture?... Hmmmm.... Buying a round of drinks for the whole pool team last Thursday?

it's only because they can't do it themselves so they think it's funny, impractical or even foolish.

if you're happy with what you do because that is how you are, doesn't matter what people say...the mind can always reason out but it is our heart we should obey. being kind is never a liability. it shouldn't be a source of embarrassment or insecurity. it's just a matter of asking, "how far can you go?"
