Very true, that have overcome a lot of adversity throughout the year and really come together as one team. I think they will roll along in the playoffs, they might stumble over the Packers but they are looking like a clear cut pick to reporesent the NFC in the SuperBowl. Too bad they are going to have to play the Pats , and lose .

I think it would be hard to bet against the Pats despite their 2 close calls. I think if they play a team 4 times in the SB they'd win 3 of them.

GB is def. the biggest obstacle. That game would have been so different if Favre would have just taken whet the D was willing to give him instead of trying to throw 8 bombs in 12 passes or whatever it was.

 

Again, as much as I love the Pats, I am having my doubts of how they will be able to hold up in the playoffs.

Did you hear about the Michael Vick sentence? After 23 months do you think he will be back in the NFL?

As anti-Vick as I was in my blogs and elsewhere prior.. I have to say, I am dumbfounded by this sentence.. I think it is way too harsh.. The guy came clean, he confessed, he owned up to it, he turned himself in and he plead guilty. When was the last time you saw this much cooperation and a judge went over and above the recommended sentence which was just 12-18 months..

He's lost everything, yeah made some bad decisions, but he owned up to it.. I think 6 months or less would have been suffice..

I've changed my tune on this one.. They were friggin dogs.. I love animals as much as the next person, but people who rape, and murder get less time than this... Since when does a dogs life out rank and out value that of a human..

I hope Vick gets a Presidential Pardon some day.. This is a crock of shit!!!

 

I think this is the first time, but I have to agree with you 100% . This federal court system really gets after you, had this case stayed at the state level I think there would have been a different outcome.

I think he will come back in the NFL eventually. I dont think he will come back as QB, he will most likely be a kick returner or a slot reciever. Now who would want to take Micheal Vick after coming back? Well Jerry Jones seems to be quite a risk taker, and he would love to take a risk like this. How about that, huh Tim .

Someone will take him back.. At this point, I think he deserves it.. When you compare him to OJ, Bonds, Strawberry, and the list of screw ups in major sports that always get a free ride, Vick is doing his time like a man.

I think he will get a little play time in.. I think he is gonna get an early out for good behavior too.. No way they can keep him in for 2 years for this.

Hell, that Lohan chick destroyed public property, had coke on her, was drunk, under age, driving, left the scene of an accident.. I mean, at least 4 or more felony crimes were committed, and I've yet to see her do any time.

There seems to be a double standard in the sports and entertainment world.. I think Vick is just being made an example of, much like Martha Stewart was in an age of corporate greed..

 

Vick's crime was federal. Lohan's crime was state. There's a huge difference in sentencing there. Vick's state punishment hasn't come in yet - but will probably be served concurrently.

Had Lohan done all this in TX instead of CA, her punishment probably would have been a lot worse.

 

Good point.. Yeah, I heard that Vick is facing some state charges next.

 

I wouldn't put it past him! At this point I'd call it a long shot for sure though.
