I was looking at the search function on a college forum site and noticed that when you search on the Google search bar and select "web", interesting things show in the search results if you type in "intel" "sun microsystems" "amazon" or a few other larger sites...interestingly enough - it doesn't work if you type in "yahoo". Very odd.
there is nothing strange here, it seems you are just trying to get ppl to use your search bar and click your ads
Don't click the ads I don't give a shat. I just haven't seen it elsewhere. I have plenty of other sites not in my signature if I were trying to hide it...
Here you go - I found a similar occurrence at the Detroit Tigers site too. Does that make you feel better????
That's something pretty normal. I have to agree those search results sucks though. They're trying to make more money but this could annoy the visitors.
A separate search bar appears in the results of the search page for certain sites such as wikipedia, amazon, intel etc. First time I've ever seen it. Do a search for "wikipedia", and look at the first result. Then you'll see what I mean.
