The new way to search with Google....

I was looking at the search function on a college forum site and noticed that when you search on the Google search bar and select "web", interesting things show in the search results if you type in "intel" "sun microsystems" "amazon" or a few other larger sites...interestingly enough - it doesn't work if you type in "yahoo".

    Very odd.

Don't click the ads I don't give a shat. I just haven't seen it elsewhere. I have plenty of other sites not in my signature if I were trying to hide it...

That's something pretty normal. I have to agree those search results sucks though.
They're trying to make more money but this could annoy the visitors.

A separate search bar appears in the results of the search page for certain sites such as wikipedia, amazon, intel etc. First time I've ever seen it.

Do a search for "wikipedia", and look at the first result. Then you'll see what I mean.
