I've been doing some reading up on the latest Adwords top placement algorithm change and let me see if I have this right.

Google now has a minimum bid threshold for your max CPC bid to make it into the top placement positions correct? So, if the minimum bid threshold for top placement is $.50 CPC and your max CPC bid is $.75 then you qualify to have your ad in top placement correct? Now if your max bid is $.75 and your CTR and therefore QS increase as time passes then your actual CPC can still go below the top placement minimum bid threshold it's just that your max CPC bid can't go below that threshold correct?

So, in the above example your max bid would be $.75 CPC, but your actual CPC could in theory go all the way down to your QS minimum bid and still maintain a top placement position so long as your max bid doesn't go below $.50 correct?

I hope that doesn't sound too confusing :D
