I think I found a way to duplicate the new site effect, where a new site will get amazing results within the first few days of debuting. I was updating all of my blog posts to include a new manually-input module, and noticed that traffic INSTANTLY came. At first I was worried about it, because the module takes time to put in without causing a bunch of errors, and some of the pages were deformed as a result. Anyways, my WP blog stats are now showing a huge surge in traffic- my best day yet. All by just updating my *old* posts. Is this the "new" site effect, or something else?
I've also noted increase in traffic after some updates on my pages. Even tiny updates. I think that is not the "new" site effect, but the "regular updates" effect - Google likes it when we regularly update the content.
oooo... I know why some day my traffic goes down low below but on other days is skyrocketing... Anyway... What is "new manually-input module"
people have been threatning me with the new site effect but I found that with new content every 2-3 days after 4 months I'm still doing well.
It is a module to display a list of results of related content, so the reader can continue learning more without having to search through categories. Anyways- glad I could help out other people. I'm still seeing a very large surge in traffic. Maybe I'll update my content once a month, if this is going to be regular!
