If I were holding onto walmart.com it would still be trademark infringement and you could bet your bottom dollar that I would end up having to turn it over to them. These companies protect their assets, and tradenames are part of those assets. In this case, possession [of a domain name] is NOT nine-tenths.
Is goo one of their trade names? Don't think so. They have yet to announce any official news besides, not googlephone.mobi. just an innocent mispell of go phone
Listen retards,,, its buzz their fucking broke they are trying to attract shareholders they haven't the finances to even pay their adsense clients how the fuck they going to launch cell phone towers in 50 states and sign multi million dollar contracts for the 800 meghz frequency range with the FCC in these states your idiots... know the cost,,,, know who you are dealing with,,, two broke fucks working out of a california garage nothing has changed their, all their wealth is imaginary when it comes to liquid cash google has less than 10 million to work with.
If goophone has not been officially "done up" then there is no infringement, at the moment. Although, I would bet pretty heavily that if Google decided to go with that as a name, being the big guy, they would get their way. Especially since the domains were bought speculatively, likely with intent to "domain-squat" Who knows, though, just my read on the whole thing
Perhaps I'll incorporate goophonemobi and start selling phones out of my office like the local quicky mart owners do.
Looks like that first one is owned by google, I guess when you get to the page you're supposed to do a search for the GooPhone?
wow, strong opinion huh. i actually think phones online would be way cool and would be pretty popular. so go google.
Good spot www.freegoophone.com - There you go, that is dead proof they are doing something with goophone it was probably meant to be top secret but obviously one publication in the world got some inside information, and I helped distribute that information. All itraders welcome and appreciated.
