Interesting. But I can't believe that anything can undermine Google's authority.

Well back in the days of Yahoo. Google was unheard of.

Back in the days of Yahoo, there wasn't a decent search engine. Yahoo was the most popular, but it was hardly the best. I don't even know if you could consider it a search engine back then. It was really just a searchable directory. Google's spider and algorithm revolutionized online searching forever. What great innovation does Mahalo offer?

It was a search engine. It just did not have the advanced features of Google.

Actually if you go back, Alta Vista and Northern Lights were the best search engines in the pre-google era.

I like the design. It looks a bit like magnolia, with a bit more blue. Good luck.

I believe this search engine with manual results is good. They had paid $10 to create each search result page.. :)

Google, having changed the face of online searching, will probably laugh at endeavors like Mahalo.....

BUT.... I guran-goddamn-tee you... Human-powered search engines are going to run Google bankrupt.... unless of course big G decides to adopt that concept first or buy some other powerful human-powered engine....

    Anyways, nice site there...

good idea, but like others have said Google is Search. Not saying you won't make it, but it may be a hard task.

Never look for success in the first try. Maybe another 20 years down the road Google might be offering you a couple billions to keep silent.....that's when you know you have something going.
