The New BruteForce Twitter and Complications!

Okay, so I am all for marketing and sometimes an application will come by that makes me interested in it. So I decided to invest the $1 into the trial to see if it will deliver as promised.

So after installing .net framework 3.5 (which took almost 30 minutes or just over that!) I finally managed to run bruteforce twitter.

So after adding my account I watched for the last hour or so as it ran through countless of specified accounts and only adding a few people at a time.

At first I thought it might be because it is a trial. But I couldn't even access the forum because when I bought the trial it asked what username I wanted to use. I entered my username and then went to paypal to purchase the trial. After buying I received the email that explained here is your download link and please confirm the aweber email you will receive that will contain your password for the forum.

No email ever arrived. After waiting several hours I got annoyed and opened a support ticket and the reply I got back today was 'here is your download link'... at this point I was like....I do have the download link. I want access to the forum as promised.

Anyway, so some clever thinking and I trudged to the forum in hopes of retrieving a non-existent password. Something must have worked, because I entered my paypal email address and then clicked link for the password retrieval. It sent me a link to my email and then I confirmed and got a new password. Wow...eventually!

Anyway... as I understand a person is supposed to get an email automatically telling you your generic password which can be changed.

So after I logged in, I went to the general forum and found a thread. I can't link to the thread because you can't view it as a visitor, but as a member you can.

So I looked at the thread and found tons of people complaining that they only get a few followers at a time.

Now this application is supposed to help you get a person to add 1000 people easily and then after a day or two you can remove the people that haven't followed you back and repeat the process.

At this moment I only added 27 people to my list through this application. Mind you that is people I am following. Personally... I could have added 100 people that I follow by hand in the last hour easily...so why is this application so slow.

Everybody is promoting it and yet tons of people are complaining! So far I have seen evidence that people say it's because of Twitter... well honestly...it isn't worth the $37 per month or whatever they want for it.

I can do it faster than the application can and that says a lot.

So tip for those that were thinking of it... don't bother.

Just use the 'search' function at the bottom of the twitter page and search for the keywords you are interested in. Make sure you use " " and it will bring back people that have tweeted those exact keywords. Add them and you will be a hundred times better off than the Bruteforce Twitter.

If this application actually worked I would have been happy to pay for it... but it doesn't work at all!

I literally wasted the last couple of hours doing all this and I wish I hadn't. Goes to show you... sometimes hype about applications are just that... utter rubbish!

p.s. It's actually called Bruteforce (Twitter Smackdown!) -__-
