That market was saturated a long time ago. The PPC market as a whole is oversatured, I would guess to say that only 20% of PPC advertisers are turning a profit.
The PPC market is saturated yes, but saturated with affiliates who a lot of the time don't really know how to market. Better affiliates who know how to really jack up their QS can get good clicks for $0.10. It wasn't that hard for me to get to about 5:1 ROI in PPC (when I first started), so if you have some sense of getting "above" the competition, there still is plenty of money to be made in PPC.
good analysis jondoe, that's what i'm finding as well. I would still expect SOME conversions though. My guess is they take a look, and plan on coming back to blockbuster.com later to sign up, and when i do, no credit to me. oh well i guess i'll go crawling back to my niche unless i can think of something new for blockbuster.
Ive veen running the BB stuff for a while now, and I can tell you, before I knew every single one of my competition, now, its just insane.
The market as a whole isn't oversaturated. The offers that people talk about constantly on these forums are oversaturated though. A. All the "experts" use the same niches as examples when they talk about affiliate marketing because they know they're oversaturated already and not a secret goldmine anymore. B. If someone posts that they are doing particularly well in a niche or with a particular offer, everyone jumps on it. The beauty of niche marketing is the "niche" part. The possibilities of what you can promote are endless and new offers come on the market every day. People have to realize that they can't just camp on a particular campaign forever and expect it to keep making them the same profit over and over. You have to adapt. Test every offer. Keep and improve anything that looks like it works. Dump the offer or niche once it stops being profitable. This could be a season or years, but if an offer has a high eCPC, affiliate managers are going to suggest it to all their affiliates and eventually it will become saturated.
the only main concern with an offer that pays this much out is the limitation of terms and conditions on the deal in regards to verbage and placement. if you drive enough traffic to it and gather enough leads, it's a great payout.
The PPC market all together is not oversaturated. Those who can't turn a decent profit will think it's saturated. I completely agree with Jondoe. Blockbuster is completely saturated right now because Azoogle is trying to push it really hard, simple as that. WAIT A SECOND, the PPC market is oversaturated, lets all just stop PPC (except me)..........
good luck with this offer. no bidding on trademark terms aren't going to get you anywhere so no blockbuster keywords. those are the killers of any offer. plus even if you try bidding on trademark terms, prepare to be shutdown by whatever company you were violating and forfeiting all gains which just leaves you with expenses from advertising. do i sound bitter?
Just for clarification: On the blockbuster campaign, pertaining to search, you are not permitted to use "blockbuster.com" as your display URL, but you ARE permitted to bid on blockbuster. I hope that helps. Alex
yeah but the $$ to bid on adwords for blockbuster is spendy... hmmm thanks for the clarification alex...
