Hogwild can you PM me a good bulletin that you would like to use. I think we can run yours tonite. Still waiting on Sem-Advance's results so far.
this sounds like a very interesting experiment which i'd love to hear the results of my site: www.digitalportrait.net might target the few that REALLY REALLY care about their myspace pics. I might give that a try sometime
Ironically I've received atleast a dozen reply messages from myspace users for the first bulletin so far. We will see how this translates to traffic.
Hi everyone Well traffic is up...Revenues are up as well. Here is the screen grab from my stats almost a 1200% increase in daily traffic and pages visited. Revenues however would say 20% increase.
My buddy Kevin got over 30 referrals signed up under his TreasureTrooper account (make money online) by sending a bulletin to his 23,000 friends
Tearabite: These are just straight bulletin's, no "auto sends" Sem-Advance: I would also be interested in the next couple days stats, I've noticed there is a sizable percentage that view the bulletin a couple days later. I have recieved a sizable amount of reply's from myspace user's pertaining to the bulletin. Tonight I will be running Hogwilds, I think the type of site is ideal for this. I am curious to see those results.
routed11: I'd be interested in throwing my site into this experiment if you're interested.. Your demographics is my demographics, so it should be interesting to see how it plays out. Check out the site HERE
Hey Routed....I'd like to participate in posting a bullentin for my pop culture/food blog that I'm testing adsense on. I have a MS account but just haven't had time to really use it. Does anyone have tips for writing a good bulletin? Kung Foodie
Cartman: Fantastic looking high quality site you have. RiboFlavin: I recvd your PM, I thought I replied but maybe not. Another fantastic looking site, just a little short on content. Dreamshop: Very nice looking site, not sure how I be able to market that (sell it) jabb: I excluded adult because the results would probably not be indicative of an average site. hogwild: Your bulletin has been sent. If you can post updates on your progress and final results when you have them. Unfortunately I cant run everyone's site or do multiple's, after a bulletin I usually have to clean out atleast 20 reply's from user's.
Routed...do you mind sharing the copy for the bulletins posted in this experiment? That might give us a better idea of what you're looking for.
routed11 ... I applaud your experimentation efforts and your intent to share results and strategies!!! Not too many people do! PS> Also just a heads up, if you send too much traffic to a site and there is a significant jump in adsense revenues you may get that adsense account banned.
Dreamshop The bulletin's are usually along the lines of something that doesnt sound like advertising. They are meant to be naturally sounding, for example the drink mixing site the bulletin talks about drinking much like how people talk to each other. I don't post bulletins that just say go here for drinks, however I do keep them somewhat short and to the point. LaCabra Thx, I tried to keep that in mind for the site owners, hence no "self reposting" bulletins and a somewhat average amount of myspace friends. A very valid concern nontheless
Hi guys, Final tally is 56 visitors resulting from the MySpace bulletin promoting my site with funny pictures for your myspace profile. Routed11, thank you for running it! My feeling is that it didn't affect my overall numbers too much. DAY VISITS PAGES 13 Jun 2006 17206 31806 14 Jun 2006 17736 32066 15 Jun 2006 18871 38432 16 Jun 2006 20884 45106 I would say it's a coincidence that June 16th saw a nice bump because I also market online in other ways such as Reddit.com and someone linked to me on dzone.com As for revenue, 56 visitors is unlikely to boost my earnings too much, as most of my dollars come from CPM networks. I would say, bottom line from MySpace is the 56 visitors. Hopefully they will come back! In my experience, MySpace has sucked a lot of my traffic through people hot linking my pictures (instead of using the free image hosting code I provide) but has not lead to a lot of visitors I KNOW there is a way to market to MySpace but I haven't found it. Hopefully Routed11's experiment will bring us closer! Thank you again to Routed11 for running this experiment!
routed, I have a Myspace website. Many people on Myspace would like to use www.layoutsandmore.net to fix up their profile. I have funny images, but I have more. Would you post a bulletin for me, and I'll post my results?
