While I agree with what you said about Janeth and the rest of their gang,
it is not a good idea to suggest that they should be banned.

Let them post, give them enough rope and they will hang themselves.

 

If they come here and drop links back to their forums to slam our members they damn well should be banned since they are just seeking traffic and attention for their forums.

They are linking back to Digitalpoint from their own forums, too

 

They have zero traffic so it matters not TOOT.

If they come here to drop their links to their forums to slam our members then those folks should be banned PERIOD and their stinking links should be taken down because all they want is attention for their sorry ass forums

I don't see any forum being a thread to Digitalpoint. Look at how this community is growing. Whoever wants to come her, let them. I know what you're saying, AC, and it is important to protect this community but also a good thing to be open to "fresh blood". Members here are pretty smart, they make up their own minds and decide who is worth their time and who is not, and then again, everyone has his/her own community. I think this place does get a little too cliquey sometimes and I definitely welcome input from other angles as well.

 

We have plenty of fresh blood TOOT, we don't need bad blood that will make everyone sick

Links Mel Janeth and Phil C. have done this before here and on other forums so why don't you just go back to your forum and stand in the corner all alone like you do most everyday

What has happened before should not change the principals. I have had my arguments with this bunch also, so to make the matters clear:

1- I agree with what you said about them.

2- Are they here to generate traffic for Dum & Dummer forum? Most likely yes.

3- If they had the possibility to ban us, would they do it? Definitely yes, as the history in WPW has proved.

4- Do I still defend their right to freedom of speech? YES, I would not deny this for my worst enemies.

When they start posting links to their forum threads that slam our members that is the time to ban them, it is really that simple Gworld

 

I agree! 100% Digitalpoint should never lower its quality and principles. I have seen a lot of ban worthy posts in this forum and so far no one has succeeded in lowering the overall quality. If we start taking people's rights away then good posters will be scarred to join. Let people mess up and when it gets too much, ban them. I think it is too hard to decide at times who should be banned, warned or whatever so it's good for people to see and decide for themselves. I have been ganged up on at searchenginewatch and know what it's like. When you give too much power to some groups, they will abuse it. Linking to another forum helps but doesn't make or break the chance of it's success. People go and stay where they are comfortable. People feel comfortable here because they watch assholes get friend and called upon their assholeness. Not saying this is the case with Mel & Co. , just generally speaking

 

When my forum mods want to ban someone, I always tell them, let's have fun with them first, we can always ban later

 

Ask any forum who banned me if it was fun for them

2nd my forum has close to 1,000 members and Phil has close to 2,500 members.

The reason you are upset with us is because Phil banned you from his forum.
