    Dear DPiers,
Let's introduce any famous and top men or women you know especially if they are from your country!

I start from Pierre Omidyar , eBay chairman.

Born in Paris, France to Iranian parents.
Omidyar moved to the US at the age of six. Growing up in Washington, D.C., he developed an interest in computing while still at St. Andrew's Episcopal School (Maryland) in Bethesda. He graduated in 1984 from St. Andrew's Episcopal School (Maryland) in Bethesda, Maryland, and in 1988 he graduated in computer science from Tufts University, and joined Claris, an Apple Computer subsidiary, where he helped write MacDraw. In 1991 he co-founded Ink Development, a pen-based computing startup that was later rebranded as an e-commerce company (and renamed eShop).

King of Persia; King of Media

Cyrus the Great , Kurosh-e Bozorg[citation needed]) or Kurosh-e Kabir (c. 590 BC or 576 — August 530 BC), also known as Cyrus II of Persia and Cyrus the Elder,[3] was the founder of the Persian Empire under the Achaemenid dynasty. The empire expanded under his rule, eventually conquering most of Southwest Asia and much of Central Asia, from Egypt and the Hellespont in the west to the Indus River in the east, to create the largest state the world had yet seen.

    Anousheh Ansari

Born Anousheh Raissian in Mashhad, Iran, Ansari and her parents moved to Tehran shortly afterward.[1] Ansari witnessed the Iranian Revolution in 1979. She emigrated to the United States in 1984 as a teenager.[2]

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and computer science at George Mason University and her master's degree at George Washington University.[3][4][5]

After graduation, Ansari began work at MCI, where she met her future husband, Hamid Ansari. They married in 1991.

On September 18, 2006, a few days after her 40th birthday, she became the first female Muslim and first Iranian in space. Ansari is the fourth overall self-funded space tourist, and the first self-funded woman to fly to the International Space Station.
