If Rolling Stones never went out of their very first garage would they have got their first chance to play publicly -> sold out first concert -> sold out first album -> apperaed on local TV -> apeeared on international TV -> survived approx. 358 years doing the same music and got known by anyone?

First links are your liability.

 

Or should we say that content isn't the king? Contents only a queen and traffics is a king?

 

Man its funny how many people will post on a thread looking for a single trick that will put them in first. SEO isn't easy, it takes knowledge, hard work, and experimentation.

The best seo technique is the one that works, every technique put together to beet out the comp. The Best thing to remember is its a bot it only sees the code. You need to know html code, keywords, and the bot.

Once your site is well optimized i would say "well keyword targeted" anchor text links pointing to as many different pages of your site as possible, is the best seo technique, as well as content if you got more pages to index your better off. However i have a 6 page site that's been up for about a month that has 22 Google links and rising. That site is very highly seo optimized because its for a seo contest, but it amazes me because i never had a site in my name that had more links in Google than it had pages! It goes to prove to me that's how it should be and that's what i should expect out of the sites i build.

 

Seems like a very vague question for such answers. A balance of everything works better than just doing one thing.

 

That's what i say, you cant just do one thing and get #1 place, you have to know and apply a little of everything
