I was really happy with the ending of the movie, because I was thinking no, the director couldn't have the bravery to actually do that. ...and then he did. It's sad and all but it's so nice to see a movie not end predictably.
For a few moments there i thought you we're talking about the legendary computer game "myst" ... About Stephen's King novel, i haven't read it, but now i'm looking forward to see the movie. Who doesn't love an unpredictable ending?
I think I heard someone that King said something along the lines of "Anyone that gives away the ending to the movie should be shot." That sort of makes me want to see the end of the movie...almost.
I have noticed a lot of controversy around the ending of The Mist. Many people really liked how it ended, it is very unexpected, and is way out in left field. However, just as many people don't like it. I guess some people like movies being predictable
