    That can't be right. Using estimated numbers for the price of gold in 2007 of $790 per ounce,

    790,000 dollars
    790. ÷ price per ounce
    --------------------------
    1,000 = ounces in in the coin

    16. ÷ ounces in a pound
    --------------------------
    62.5 = weight in pounds.


    That would still be more than I would care to tote. But it sure would look good on the mantle.


    edit: I read the article and now realize its current value is close to 3 mil. :)
