The META tags revisit-after

Hello,
how does the META tag revisit-after affect how search engines crawl the websites? if i put META tag revisit-after for 1 day will Google revisit the website everyday even if I haven't updated the contents? Or is the tag totally useless and can be avoided altogether

 

I think it is no problem!

 

This meta tag doesn't work at all. don't expect SEs to follow your instruction. SEs reindex pages on their own schedules.

 

The META revisit-after tag is specific to Vancouver Webpages search.

You can use but search engines are not going to follow your revisit tag instruction.

 

Nothing about the META tag itself will automatically run PhpDig.

 

If you put 1 day, the bot will crawl your site more often. But not everyday, of course

 

i think this tag even necessary these days!
