The point is to make it hard so you try your hardest to achieve it.

 

Ah sure, why not... I doubt I'll come close, but I'll give it a go on a blog I just launched (so starting from nothing) - www.ChickTech.net

Here are some of the things I'm doing / planning anyway:

1. I just started taking nominations for the best women webmasters. I have a designer creating "badges" that the nominees can add to their site (recognition for them, and backlinks for my site).

2. I also just started an interview series with women webmasters. Most often when someone is interviewed, they link to that interview if they have a site (although it's obviously not required). Since I'm interviewing webmasters, chances of them having a site is obviously higher. Plus, it has the ability to attract readers interested in the subject, since no one else seems to be hitting heavily on this niche yet.

3. I'll soon be releasing a press release about the interviews.

4. I'll also be releasing a press release about the best women webmasters nominations.

5. I'm doing a series on making money online, and I'll be promoting those pieces through social bookmarking a little bit (SU and Del.icio.us probably).

6. I've been, and will continue to, announce the new site and its news on my various other sites, especially my writing-related sites where I get a lot of female bloggers as readers who would be interested in the subject matter.

7. As much as I don't like article marketing, I suppose releasing one or two won't hurt.

8. I'll publish a short free e-book.

9. I just did a feature on some of the best Wordpress themes (according to moi at least lol), and I'm planning a few similar features on different kinds of tools and resources. They tend to attract links and comments at the bare minimum.

10. I've been thinking about hosting something at blogtalkradio if I find someone to host with me for another site, but I suppose I could do something with a colleague about something like this. Not sure if it would happen this month though (doubt it), but I could work on planning and building hype up about it pre-launch to drive some early traffic. We'll see...

I had 98k uniques last month... so I guess I will shoot for 120k. or something.

Last month (my first full month) I had 6500 uniques and over half a million hits. This month I'm seeing 400-500 uniques a day from various types of promotion... mostly helping people on mens health forums with questions and directing those interested to my forum.

One thing I've been thinking about is how to do a free e-book and release it. I dont think I'd have a problem creating the book, rather I'm not sure how I would get the e-book out there whereever people could find and download it.

If anyone has any ideas how to promote my site I am open to them. I try not to spam at all because I know people hate penis enlargement spam (and any kinds of spam really)

My income from the site comes from the store where pills, extenders, viagra, and other mens health type stuff can be bought. I dont push it too hard (especially on the forum) but I'm making enough to cover server costs.

Just curious about your forum posting. How many forums would you say you post to daily, and how many posts per day?

 

I post on digitalpoint, webmastertalk,richdad,iwebtool, sitepoint,earnersforums and more I make 50+ posts a day

 

I think this is a great way to see how many ways there is to market your web site. Are you allowed to to use Pay Per Click?

 

Can use PPC what ever you like but must explain how you got the traffic
