**The Malaysian Refunds, how do you deal with it? I'm Pissed!

    Nice thing to wake up to today:

    "Customer disputed this as an Unauthorized Purchase through PayPal. Notice of dispute received from PayPal and was refunded."

    Edit: Expressed myself a little strong, had to erase most of this post... Basically principles get to me sometimes, and the principles behind some of the policy's based around here far outweigh the odd refund/monetary loss, even if it looks uber suspicious... such is digital global distribution, i keep truckin... enjoy the day.

    thats why i had a thread a few days ago asking whether it make sense to ban whole countries :)

    I use DLGuard..oh wait !! I think it was EZClickmate which has the option to ban whole countries!

    You can easily determine a country by the IP as each country has its own IP ranges. Then you would put up some non service page if the in-coming IP is on your black list.

    This isn't 100% as the user could use a proxy to get a US IP for example but then he would have to lie about his country of origin when making the purchase so this should put off most people.

    I think if you just banned the country it should stop them. How many % of sales do you get to malaysia.
