The majority of the americans finally woke up to see the truth and voted for the democrats. Saying no for the war on Irak.
People's choice should always be "peace" as the first option, but many were led to believe war is "good".
Loses:
America lost more than 3,000 people, Iraq lost 100 times more as some say.
America lost a lot of international business because of the bad name Bush's polycies created for US.
America is losing at least 100 Bln a year for NOTHING.

Ocupying Iraq is not fighting terrorists on their soil.
On the contrary it creates more US haters who are willing to die to kill an american. As a result of the war, more and more people in muslim countries are eager to hurt America in any way they can.
US needs a dramatic change of face IMO, to regain the great image it use to have in the world arena.
It doesn't matter if that image is recreated by a republican or democrat.
Good deeds now.

Yes this election was a very important one for America. The whole world was paying attention and hoping that the American electorate spoke out against the Bush clan.

Who on Earth could possibly be happy with the fact that the Bush clan took your troops into Iraq on an argument that is still unclear and needs further investigation.

This Iraq issue was central in yesterdays vote but I felt the main issue should be why the heck did we get into this war, how could such a mistake happen? Will it happen again? WHO is to blame?

Anyway, its a big relief to see a change.

 

This is the typical Democrat response: look back at what has been [as if Saddam was a poster boy for all things good] instead of looking forward to how things can be worked for the good.

Democrats seem to always lack a clear, concise vision.

Politicians should be held accountable for their actions. The UK will be holding an enquiry into the handling of the Iraq war because it is such a serious issue and needs to be dealt with.

Holding an enquiry into exactly why your Government has sent thousands of young Americans to their death my 'mistake' has nothing to do with 'democrats lacking vision' - it is simply an issue that needs to be investigated.

Please dont respond to my words with generalised sound bytes that go along the lines of 'the problem with democrats...'

Sorry, mistermix but this issue has been dragged through the mud for years. Everyone accepts that some of the intelligence leading up to the war was not correct, but getting Saddam Hussein out of power was very correct.

There are other issues that play into all of this including Iran's involvement in hostilities within Iraq.

You can waste precious time and resources conducting an investigation that will conclude absolutely nothing or you can procure a vision to stabilize Iraq and the region. These are my points for "liberals" who have no vision other than caving in and appeasing to their enemies ala Chamberlain.

 

How about investigating the issue and dealing with the current situation in Iraq, what an amazing idea?

Heres the current policy in in Iraq: occupy the country and kill anyone who fights back.
