Nice, cute concept.
My recommendations:

Invest a little time and redo the banner, it’s not that difficult to do.
“We are waiting for the 1st love story.” Needs to be elaborated. The text is too little, you need at least a 300 to 400 word article to give the search engines something to feed on.

Then maybe you can find a story, write about it, give credit (and link) to the original poster and post it under the title “my favorite story”.

And why not post two or three like that.
That way you will prime the website.

Oh, BTW; never be scared of giving links out and don’t re-write someone else’s story, write about it and link to it.
Barry Schwartz of seoroundtable.com has been using this technique very successfully for years.

I'm glad you bought your own domain. Hosting it yourself would be great too. Wordpress.com is nasty about monetization.
