I have a weird thing happening on my blog...

The less I post, the more traffic I am getting..

I am getting about 80 uniques when I post, then when I didnt post for a couple of days it jumped to 110ish..

thats very weird anyone know why that is?

You are LYING. You do not get more than 5 uniques a day, your blog doesn't even have one worthwhile post and you have 0 comments. This is a lame attempt to get people to visit your waste of Internet space. (Although I must say it is nicely designed.)

That is very weird, maybe by the time the previous blog post gets indexed you get traffic, so try posting every day and see if your traffic still decreases.

How did you tell howmany uniques he's getting per day?

and BTW I have gottten a lot of visitors from not posting, but that's not because you haven't posted, it means your content has been indexed. A lot of webmasters have google alerts set up for specific stuff, which emails them if it has been mentioned on a blog, so it is quite possible that those visitors are coming from various sources.

I was assuming he was talking about the blog in his sig. If he wasn't, he should have said "one of my blogs", instead of "my blog"

There are tons of way to know exactly what's going on with people's sites.

TheStopNetworks: Thanks man, but when I post a lot it keeps my traffic steady, but when I dont post for couple of days my traffic jumps up..

factchecker: Mind your own business, I was talking about the blog in my sig, and how do you know how many uniques I am getting? why do you care? go and criticize your blog and lie to yourself about how many blog posts you tell people you get.

Blog traffic can go up or down easily and it depends on many factors. A drop in visitors from 110 to 80 can be attributed to a lot of things.

-Are you getting a spike in traffic from any social media like digg/stumbleupon? These sites can give you a little boost in traffic and these visitors will stop coming to your site within a few days.
-Search engines can move your sites rankings several times a week so the traffic might be higher/lower depending on how google feels about your site.
-There are always fluctuations in search engine traffic that has nothing to do with your blog. Some days people just might not be searching for the content you have, and on other days google can send you a spike in traffic from your search engine rankings.

Realistically you should have a website traffic analyzer like google analytics. These programs are amazing, they tell you exactly where all of your visitors came from, how long they stayed on your site, how they interacted with your site, and much much much more! So if you have a traffic analytics software just check it out and see where the increase or decrease in traffic is coming from, and if you don't have google analytics then I strongly suggest putting it up on your business site, it's free and it will help you better understand your blog.

I won't mind my business. I'm sick of people like you coming on this forum and lying about your stats You end up giving people false hopes and I will NOT let that happen. You are telling people you are getting 80 uniques a day?? come on.

And you are pretty ridiculous if you don't think people know how many visitors you are and aren't getting.... Noob

And the reason I care is not only are you lying... you are trying to establish yourself as an authority on this forum and I don't want somebody actually thinking you know what you are talking about when you obviously don't.

it is odd that the majority of visitors to your site come from here and the majority of visitors come back here when they leave. You don't get visitors from many, if any, other places?

But the two biggest reasons a site would get traffic after a few days and when a new post hasn't been made is because it was either indexed for a good keyword or it has been social bookmarked at a site like Stumbleupon

Thats got to be the stupidest thing i have ever heard! The only effect that making more posts gives is more visibility in search engines!
